Adrian Durham's a journalist so he's not really going to/supposed to think from a Chelsea/other title teams perspective...

Don't think you'll find many journalists that are unbiased these days. They all have their own agenda to pursue and write about it, regardless of whether it's from a Chelsea perspective or not.

Here is my reply to Adrian Durham...hope you enjoy it.

Ten reasons why every football fan should hope Liverpool NEVER win the league again.

10. That ridiculous high pitch whinge

It's more fingernails being scraped down a board than an accent, the whinge reaches it's highest pitch when 40,000 of them scream, "Handball!" This usually occurs as soon as the ball goes anywhere near an opposition player in their own half of the pitch.

9. Scouse Militant Nationalism

There is a raging anti Monarchy, anti patriotic standing in the city. Look at the Liverpool players (and Rooney) whenever the National Anthem is sung before England games. Barely a lip moves. Gerrard tries a bit since being made captain because Woy feels he should, but the Derek Hatton persona is bubbling just under the surface in every one of them.

8. Heysel

Six years out of European football thanks to them. Don't get me wrong - had it been Chelsea sharing an end with stone throwing Italians we'd have been through the chicken wire too... only we might have accepted the blame and not tried to blame it on another club.

7. The Spice Boys

They turned up at Wembley in white suits. Well, when I say turned up, they strutted around on the pitch before the game.

6. Pundits

Hansen, Lawrenson, Owen, Collymore, Carragher, Houghton, Hamann, James, and many, many more. Wherever you look, the red propaganda is being peddled.

5. The new signing rule

Every new signing has to swear the oath of allegiance and recount how they have supported Liverpool since childhood and had Kenny Dalglish/Robbie Fowler/Michael Owen posters all over their bedroom wall as a child...

4. You've got no History

The date of footballing history can be traced back to the day Bill Shankly won his first trophy at Liverpool in the 1960's. Anything won before that date is "BS" (Before Shankly) and does not count, whilst footballing history officially stopped in 1990 and the book of history was buried in a time capsule that year. It was dug up and added to in 2005 after Istanbul before being buried again in a secret burial ceremony. Anything won after that date does not count because it was won by cheating, and by spending dirty, filthy money. It is rumoured that in the book of football history it shows that when Liverpool broke British transfer records to buy Dalglish, Beardsley, Rush, Dean Saunders, they did not spend any dirty, filthy money but simply made sizeable charity donations to the causes of Celtic, Newcastle, etc

3. The media obsession with Stevie Me

The British media and public like nothing more than to hate someone who has more than they do. Or has a perceived unfair advantage in life. Like that Fat Frank Lampard for instance. It was decided long ago that this man was too fat to be a footballer. And he wasn't very good. In fact he only got a professional contract at West Ham because of his Dad and Uncle. The footballing equivalent of being born with a silver spoon in your mouth. And so, for that, Fat Frank was hated...the footballing devil. And where a devil has been created an angel needs to address the balance. And so St Steven of Liverpool was born, the down-to-earth working class hero who EARNED everything he had... And so it came to pass that in order to keep a lid on the evils of the Universe Steven should always be Man of the Match...

2. The media obsession with the Kop

Or Koppites. Liverpool fans are always portrayed as witty (ask anyone who has had to make their way back to a car the other side of Stanley Park just how witty they are.) And of course they are passionate...working class, local, non-plastic flag waving diehards the lot of them. Whereas all the other top clubs have problems with their atmosphere's at home games, Anfield is a seething bear-pit of a cauldron where opponents wilt.. No seriously, it is! It must be...the press say so. Oh and knowledgeable...they know the game inside out. Whereas other fans only have a superficial understanding of the game, the regulars at Anfield could all, to a man, outwit the likes of Mourinho. It must be true...they used to applaud opposition goalkeepers at the Kop End...you can't get fairer and more knowledgeable than that. Unless you say anything about their club of course. Jason Cundy, Stan Collymore will both vouch for how fair and knowledgeable the loveable reds can be on phone ins and social media.

1. The Liverpool fans we all know in our own lives.

Call it the victim mentality if you like... but their is an innate sense of bitterness. They chose their team because they were the best and so a lifetime of reflected glory was guaranteed... You cannot underestimate the level of bitterness that has arisen inside each and every one of them that the prophesy has not been fulfilled. Worse still are those who support the team because their Dad's do...they get to be doubly bitter because they have been lead down this path and it wasn't of their choosing. But now they are stuck. All they are left with is a stock selection of phrases with which to try to disguise their anger...and so words like "history," "We won it 5 times," "Class," etc spill from their resenting lips.

And that Adrian Durham is why NO-ONE wants Liverpool to win the league!

This title is ours.

We were the bes team before the lueage gegan and we still are with a good amount of squad depth and the likes of Hazard gracing us with their presence. Anyone who keeps arguing that its Man City's to lose and that we are second or third favorites are obviously lying

Chelsea have spent in the region of £800m since Abramovich bought the club, and yet you still talk of them as some kind of gentle oppressed minority that are doing well to compete with the big boys of English football.

A lot on this forum is labelled as embarrassing, but your posts define the word. The amount of moaning about all of Chelsea's hardships is just horrific to read.

You constantly moan about not having a proper striker, despite the fact that you actually have three at the club, costing in the region of £57m before wages. If only Roman had invested a bit more, eh?

You constantly claim that whoever Chelsea's opponents are, you're going to lose. Those posts make me want to self-harm. You're supposed to beat almost everyone you play because you've spent £500m more than them on players. This week, you moaned about how little travelling Spurs' players had done compared to your lot. Why do you think that is? You have better players. A particular gripe was how you were worried about Willian's fitness. You wouldn't be worrying about it had you not spent £30m on him just to ensure today's opponents didn't get him.

When Chelsea inevitably start winning, you then proceed to show absolutely no class about the whole thing. You never accept that refereeing decisions might have gone your way, for example. You endlessly harp on about the importance of the three points. You never accept that for the money Chelsea have spent, you might be playing a little more openly, like Manchester City, maybe. This all fits into your tedious drivel about how Chelsea are on a learning curve and that this season might be a little early for the billion pound enterprise you are.

You are typical of your club's support.

And that Ladies and Gentlemen is an Arsenal fan losing his shit :lol::lol::lol:

Still waiting to see the situation we are in after we face Arsenal in two weeks time as well as how the others fare in their big games next week (Tottenham v Arsenal and Man United v Liverpool). City and Liverpool will also play their respective game in hand soon (hope United will be useful for once against those two!).

To be fair, I dont think those games are that much important than the other fixtures (if at all)...

City (because I honestly dont believe Liverpool's title intentions will last long) loosing points to Manure or Fulham has the exact same effect on us!

By the way, we are winning and it's all good, but we will NOT win all our remaining matches.

So, when we do lose points, I dont want everyone flipping out and going crazy. Just stay positive and we WILL win the title!

Well, I just want to take it step by step and see where we are after a few games here, few games there rather than jumping straight to conclusions and all that. ;)

How is the title ours? If both we and City win all of the remaining games, the title goes to Manchester. Mathematically, it's City's to lose.

No, I agree!

It's just that I think all games matters independently of whom the opponent is. At this stage, each match is worth 3 points and nothing else, no matter against who we play...

With the League so close and in its last weeks, I really dont think its important whether we are playing Cardiff or Arsenal. Just like I dont think it is important if City plays Manure or Fulham. Every single game is a final now!

True but on paper at least, you do look that way because there is a higher possibility of say City dropping points against United than Fulham.

Well, very theoretically, because sometimes great offensive teams (like City, obviously) struggle against the smaller defensive fixtures and play amazing against the top sides!

City pretty much trashed everyone at the top 7 (apart from us) and had a lot of difficulties against the likes of Cardiff, Stoke, Aston Villa, etc. Manure will definitely not defend for 90min and the game will be rather open, while if City faces Hull or Fulham, they might find it hard to break their 11 men wall or whatever.

Like I said, I would go one week at a time and NOT focus our "hopes" on the big matches...
