🇨🇲 Samuel Eto'o

Nope we wanted Torres.

I think Mourinho did, but Chelsea didn't go through with it and Eto'o was very angry. Sounds very bitter and cringeworthy reading it back now.

"Chelsea said they wanted to buy me and then never carried the deal through. I will show that they made a huge and expensive mistake. They will realise it most when my goals dump them out of Europe. We all know that Petr Cech has not conceded a goal for a long time but then again he has not played against me. Playing Barcelona will be a nightmare for Chelsea at the Nou Camp and in London."

It would if Torres and Ba go.
Apparently Eto'o has been passing his experience onto Hazard (see his thread couple off days back) if he can do the same for Lukaku then that can only be good.
Costa, Lukaku and Eto'o would offer us a real balance up front, one in his prime, one young and upcoming and one who's been around the block and won everything.

Agreed.

From the Hazard-Eto'o situation you can see why Eto'o has been Samuel Eto'o for so many years: it's the mentality (besides the obvious and bright skills, of course).

Eto'o has a winner mentality, a great charisma and he is basically Mourinho on a football pitch (that's why they get along so well and that's also the main reason Inter won the Treble: the "Mourinho + Eto'o" factor); I remember watching him in Inter Milan: what he's doing with Hazard he did there as well, especially with young lads (go ask Coutinho, Biabiany or Obi about that).

In Inter, he used to always talk with his teammates, he was positive, always with the smile on the football pitch, and I've never seen him blame or accuse a teammate, not once; obviously, at the time he was still near his prime so he himself banged 40 goals per season, now he can't do that anymore, but I'm still positive that, as you said, an eventual up front made by Costa, Lukaku and Eto'o would be great for Chelsea (and also for Lukaku, who can learn so many things from Samuel).
