But my days, I've never seen a failure of such epic proportions like what was proclaimed by him towards the 'wonder-kid' Oscar. Oscar's put together the worst season in his entire career AFTER getting the all infamous summer vacation. It's incredible when you think about it really. 

Probably might be a Jose fanboy. I mean did not Jose say something along similar lines about Oscar having Hazard-esque development if he got a good rest. A lot of people simply like to reproduce and bandwagon the manager's words. In case he actually thought it to be true, then my condolences.

The fact he was our best player when we were hovering around regulation zone says a lot about his quality. That is his level.

That is a ridiculous argument imo. I don't understand people who say this. Does that mean the other players around him who were poor are that level as well?

Villa were hovering around relegation last season but Benteke was clearly a cut above anyone in that squad but the argument should be that because they were near relegation zone, he is that type of level player. Ridiculous! The easy argument will be that he is struggling now but let's face it you put him right system he is a quality striker and one who most people were saying was better than Lukaku before the season started.

We've seen the cost of poor pre-season already. Wonder how Conte will work Willian's schedule in now, could see the Brazilian's playing time limited if someone takes his spot for their own.

Three years of watching Willian, he has always shined when we were playing our worst football during the season. Whenever we have played our best looking and convincing football he was found as one of our weak link. That tells me he is not part of the solution. With Hazard, Cesc, and Costa for example I know how good they can be when we looked like a Champions side.

Bottom line is I don't see him as a component to a successful side. Looks great on a side that scraping by. 

I am hoping for much change as possible for next season, and I really pity Conte what he has to work with. If you are very fond of Willian's quality, you are in luck because he is likely a lesser of evils in this squad.

I agree, he doesn't deserve to be playing near the goat that is Oscar. 

Willian is 5 times the player Oscar will ever be. The latter would struggle to start in a Stoke City side while the former would have no trouble getting into the squad of pretty much any team in the world. 

Your dislike for Willian has no other cause but the fact that he continuously proves to be better than your favorite, Oscar.

Funny thing is as horrendous as Oscar has been this year he'll go on to have a better career than Willian. This is as good as it gets for Willian though, best player (even though he's been woeful since Mourinho's sacking and not even a Top 5 performer ever since) in a Chelsea side having their worst season in 20 years.

Maybe I was wrong about Oscar but at least I'm consistent. I've never been high on Willian from the start despite the ridiculous & borderline insane fawning over him because he runs fast & used to track back. I mean at least I didn't proclaim a marginal player like Willian was better than Hazard, Fabregas etc because he scored a couple of fluke free-kicks.

I stated it before this season that Oscar will look good when his other team mates are performing but when they are bad he is bad and has no standout qualities to help him out and this season have exposed him hugely. Dropped from both his club and national team. Willian has always been better than Oscar. Better crosser, passer, dribbler, stronger and pretty much better at everything. Hard for you to admit.
