DYC. 7,542
Before he joined us I think that he had about 2.4 key passes a game.(I saw it on skysports transferwatch) That's just short of mata and silva level in creating chances. Its not possible that he was poor in creating from open play with that kind of stat.Even when you watched shaktar against us in the champs league he was very creative against us.I think he's just adapting, maybe playing more on the right instead of his favourite center is a factor but its taken hazard a season to get to lille form. Maybe he'll kick on by next season.Never said he was poor at creating chances from open play, I said I don't think it was a strong part of his game. Again, set-piece specialists average a high amount of key passes, it includes the likes of Mata, Ozil, Gerrard etc. But some combine it by creating chances and clear-cut chances from open play.Thought he was more of a goal-scoring threat and threatening with his pacy dribbles rather than a 'passing threat' myself in those matches.I think he's a good player at this level and very useful for the team. But he lacks the true quality to be star player imo. Hazard's incredible talent was so obvious, even Stevie Wonder could see that. kellzfresh
JDY 1,290
Not a huge fan of whoscored but saw this the other day:Willian will always be the player that is vital in our build up but not the player that will be supplying the goal scoring chances while Hazard is in the team. Apparently he has been tearing apart the bundesliga this season. His stats are very awesome27 apps 18 goals and 13 assists in all competitions. Sir Mikel OBE 4,920
Brazil is stacked. If Firmino was English he'd be one of the biggest things since sliced bread with his form this season yet he's not even on the Brazilians here radar lol ZOS and Barbara
JDY 1,290
pardon my ignorance, but who the heck is Firmino? That image was on an article about Firmino arguing why he deserves international recognition. Guessing it was trying to compare him to his competitors in Europe's top 5 leagues. Barbara 15,149
thanks, everyone.I don't watch Bundesliga, so I still have no idea who he is for real, but now at least I know where he came from. Sort of.
Yeboii 1,844
I knew Firmino was a good young player but did not keep tabs on him. Guess he is better than I thought.

I asked abut him at Lunch in my University and only ONE of my friends knew who he was. The rest went: "WHAT?", "Is it food?", "Are you high?", etc... Toli 977
Firiminio is having an amazing season for Hoffenheim, probably their best player with Volland. But it is also due to Hoffenheims style of play, which is very offensive (one of the worst defenses in the Bundesliga at the moment). His last season wasnt good though, this season he is amazing so far. Barbara
Henrique 9,133
For me Willian proved in few minutes against Spurs that Schurle can score 10 goals in a game, but he is defifinetly a better player yuvala

Schurrle has very good movement among other attributes. For now I'd rather see Willian play.

If we started with 4-2-3-1 against that Spurs high-line, i'm sure he would have gotten a few real chances. nyikolajevics
duo11bluecl 207
Willian is nothing but a better Ramires, can't really believe the hype around him a couple of years ago. £30m, the type of fee being paid for the likes of best wingers in Europe. Badboy 1,526
To be honest I would start Schurrle Willian and Hazard with Oscar on the bench. Oscar is the one who needs a rest and we can afford to give him a rest ! BleedsBlue
