EskWeston 696
The way i feel at the moment and think about this situation the only way that i can see Grant being replaced is because it was planned all along. He won't be replaced for not winning a trophy because lets all be honest when Jose left everyone thought we would do well to cement 4th spot. We have done exceptionally well this season given the circumstances, and even though that is not down to Grants management ability he won't be replaced on the basis of bad results. The bottom line is that i think the only way that Grant will be replaced is if it had been planned all along......

Lets face it clarke or henk are the real driving force in the management.
Luke 60
lets remember ranieri, who wasnt the best tactician (but miles better than grant) got sacked for finishing 2nd in the league, and made the semi finals of the CL. in my eyes grant needs to be moved upstairs and we need a complete overhall of the coaching team. cfc-meleady 192
Grant won't be sacked. I know i know no badges not qualified and all that jazz BUT Took a team who wasn't doing the best in the league and brought them joint top spot Also a team who have never been to a Champions League Final And beat Liverpool on the way 2 things Jose could NOT do. I think you know Grant is a fuck. I'm not saying he's not a good guy, but he's no footie manager. I feel sorry for him when they show him on TV, he looks clueless Grant didn't lead us to victory against United last week, Stevie Clark did. SuperSheva7 0
Well Rijkaard is officially out of Barca by the end of the season so he'll be free this summer....for the Chelsea job?
EskWeston 696
IF someone new does come in, at the moment it is looking like a toss up between Rijkaard and Eriksson, with Rijkaard being the clear favourtie now for the job that it is confirmed he is leaving Barca. changingman2000 35
Dear god not Sven please. What a fucking mare he would be. I agree with FB that he's ten times the manager that Grant is........But then again, so is Spongebob squarepants Honestly, I'll spit my dummy out, throw my toys out of the pram and take my ball home if Sven was to become our manager :censored:
Fulham Broadway 17,363
Well there is that - what is wrong at the moment is we could be romping ahead if we had a top coach getting the best out of the players than a fat irrelevance. As it is, we're doing well, and the unqualified buffoon is getting credit. With Rijkaard and Ten Cates who have worked together before, next season could be sown up. EskWeston 696
I am suprised at the ammount of people who would not be happy to see Rijkaard here! I think he is pretty much the perfect candidate for us, has won big cups, his teams play the attacking football that a lot of people crave, proven that he is willing to bring youngsters through to the first team......for whatever reason it has fallen apart at Barca, you could tell this season his heart wasn't in it!! I for one would be happy to him appointed in the summer.
