The only place to be 11,313
Yep, looks in good knick and will get a whole summer to get fit. Really hope he can hit the ground running and contribute in a way he wasn't able to last year. Barbara and Chelsea Legend 11
Bir_CFC 3,455
Sounds like he had a good game. Excited for him. Always liked him, always showed a great attitude. Vybz Kartel and iseah100

The Skipper 20,609
Would've definitely had a great chance at starting for the senior team if he just wasn't injured, especially with Strootman out. Real shame.
LDN Blue 7,903
Sounds like he had a good game then, captain too? That's a great comeback in its own right, let's hope Mourinho acknowledges.

Yes, but he would've started next to Clasie, who can control a game. How have you both come to the conclusion that MvG can't control a game???yes, maybe last nighst game vs Scotland was only an u21 game but he ran the show. With match fitness and confidence he has everything to control a game.

Madmax 9,219
I hope that the 3rd CM spot doesn't go to Tiago. MvG will just be this season's Lukaku in that case.

Very complete player though, but we'll see how he's reacted to his injury next season.

Madmax 9,219
Not sure about that; thinking Chelsea bought MvGDefinitely had Mourinho's input. He also approved of the Schurrle signing. There are quotes if you want to find them.
different level 1,056
To be honest at some point I had completely forgotten about him. Unfortunately he had a similar fate with Romeu with a season long injury and I expect him to be loaned just like Oriol, without many prospects for the future at The Bridge. kellzfresh 7,229
When I saw him in preseason, he was so good at tackling, it was ridiculous. Hope he's in jose's plans.
