yuvala 2,167
Not sure how reliable this is but ...The Chelsea Guy @WittyChelskian2mMarco van Ginkel's agent has confirmed his client will not join Ajax this summer, he has been heavily linked to #CFC. BenIsLegend 475
He played a decent first half for the Dutch U-21 side vs Germany, but like the rest of his team he's been non existent in the second half.

GermanBlue 82
From what I've seen today, I think he needs a loan if he joins us. Good talent, solid performance, but not that influential.

coolhead23 1,147
Report: Chelsea, Vitesse agree on Marco van Ginkel transfer feeMorning has broken in the Netherlands and along with it, the news. And it's a particularly bright piece of news on this (assumed) bright sunny morning, for it concerns a bright young prospect:De clubleiding van Vitesse heeft een akkoord met Chelsea bereikt over de transfer van Marco van Ginkel van Arnhem naar Londen. De club van trainer José Mourinho, die gisteren officieel werd geprestenteerd bij de Engelse topclub, heeft ruim 8,5 miljoen euro over voor de middenvelder van Jong Oranje.-Source: De TelegraafGoogle translate is having a few issues with that specific website, but the gist of it is that Chelsea have had a bid of €8.5m accepted by Vitesse Arnhem. Another source reports that Chelsea's bid beat out a competing offer from Ajax Amsterdam, which was in the range of €7m. Chelsea rule! Although I'm sure that's just a matter of time.Als Van Ginkel voor een overgang naar de winnaar van de Europa League kiest, is de kans niet groot dat hij veel aan spelen zal toekomen. Een andere mogelijkheid is dat Vitesse hem eerst nog een jaar huurt van Chelsea, dat elk seizoen drie spelers aan de Arnhemse club uitleent.-Source: De TelegraafIt seems that the hangup in the personal terms may be over weather the midfielder spends another year at Vitesse (on loan) or if he joins up with Chelsea this summer. Regardless, if these reports are true - and after getting stung by the Lazar Markovic business yesterday, we're making this a bigger "if" than we would normally - then it looks like we're about to finally make our first official signing of the summer transfer window.I included all the Dutch text in case one of the WAGNH Dutch contingent wants to give us a proper translation. But I think we've captured the essence of the business and the essence of the business is excellent news.Source: http://www.weaintgotnohistory.com/2013/6/11/4417928/report-chelsea-vitesse-agree-on-marco-van-ginkel-transfer-fee
Reddish-Blue 2,506
He seems like he has potential. Saw him play for the U-21 side against Russia. Its only potential though.Well...there should be clubs interested in signing him on loan from us...once the deal is official.I agree with your point though..he's got potential..just like Chalobah, Ake, RLC..he needs to prove himself in a stronger league.Hopefully we find the right club for his development... magic weeds 446
They say José wants him at the Bridge. The two spoke on phone.Maybe this has to do with what was said the other day. BOSS 372
The deal is done for 8,5m. Atleast there are reporting this over here in Holland. Telegraaf is very reliable from what i know.

Toli 977
then how can he be a bargain? Not being funny but if your unsure about his quality how can you assess his price tag as a bargainhe has potentital, but if he can reach and envolve is questionable. but IF he does it than he is a bargain. futhermore 8,5 millions are nothing in nowadays values. also he is only 20 years old, even if he flops, we can still sell him for 4,5 millions if not more and would nearly make no loss. so yeah in my opinion a bargain. and I think his wages arent too high too. CHOULO19 24,332
With all the players we've been linked with this past month, I genuinely think that this is the only player we've actually tried to sign. All the rest is BS rumors.

lucio 5,418
considering the amount of time oscar got last season this guy could well get good playing time for us. he has better technique then any of our other pivot options.

I'm not buying this "Abramovic gave Mourinho 100m to sign Cavani and Hulk" stories.
