Good to see his recovery is going well.

Anybody else think he will go on loan next year? I suspect that he will only because of what Romeu said in the summer before he left for Valencia:

Obviously every players situation isn't the same and Mouinho might not have rated Oriol in the same way he does MVG.

I suspect that Romeu will want to stay in Spain, so I Marco will most likely stay if that happens.

I saw Marco's quote saying that everything is going really well and even the doctors say that his recovery is superquick, which is quite rare.

His age, thankfully, plays a role. An CL injury at 21 is completely different from one at 28, for example.

Would this injury have any long term issues? like losing a yard of pace, more frequent injuries etc

without a doubt... how much though? that's the $$ question.

Like Choulo said, being 21 does play a big part and I've seen many young players fully recover from ACL.

So will he go out on loan next season ala Romeu?

I think that depends on Romeu himself. I think Oriol wants to stay in Spain. If that is the case then I doubt we will loan Marco out. But if Oriol returns, then I think Marco most likely goes out on loan.

Its up to us whether we recall Oriol though,I doubt he would say no to returning here.

Possibly but then again, they are two different type of players and going by their abilities and strengths as a player, think we need Van Ginkel more than we do with Romeu.

It's pretty amazing how fast he's recovered from a torn ACL. Careers are derailed and some even end prematurely due to torn ACLs and this dude recovers in 5-6 months. Unreal. All the praise to Cheslea medical team and him though, that is one of the fastest torn ACL recoveries I've ever heard of in professional sports.
