Strootman can control a game, Van Ginkel can't do that yet.

Yes, but he would've started next to Clasie, who can control a game.

How have you both come to the conclusion that MvG can't control a game???

yes, maybe last nighst game vs Scotland was only an u21 game but he ran the show. With match fitness and confidence he has everything to control a game.

I've seen Marco in his Vitesse days + for Holland and I can comfortably say he's not there yet in terms of truly consistently dictating the pace of a game but he can get there. Very complete player though, but we'll see how he's reacted to his injury next season.

What I was trying to say: Van Ginkel has room to grow and that he's not at Strootman's level of dictating the pace of a game.

To be honest at some point I had completely forgotten about him. Unfortunately he had a similar fate with Romeu with a season long injury and I expect him to be loaned just like Oriol, without many prospects for the future at The Bridge.

I'm positive he's staying... there's no reason for him to leave, if Mourinho wanted him here last year, I don't see why he wouldn't now that we don't have Luiz, Mikel is likely to leave and probably won't have Lampard either.
