Jase 43,479
http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1754050/andre-schuerrle-now-feeling-home-chelsea?cc=4716Chelsea attacker Andre Schuerrle believes that he has now fully settled at Stamford Bridge and is “living the dream at my dream club.” Schuerrle joined Chelsea from Leverkusen in the summer of 2013 and has started nine Premier League matches for the Blues. The Germany international has struggled at times to assert himself on the first-team picture but has been used with increasing regularity in recent weeks and celebrated his first hat trick for Jose Mourinho’s side against Fulham earlier this month.“I do have the feeling that I have settled in and I am accepted, have my place on the team and with the fans,” Schuerrle told kicker. “I could have had a few more starts, but that is down to problems at the start of this year.“Overall it’s a record that shows I have found my feet. Everything fits, my decision [to join Chelsea] was right, I win minutes on the pitch. I am living my dream at my dream club.”Schuerrle elaborated on the reasons he missed a number of matches in early 2014, with the former Leverkusen and Mainz man explaining that the switch from the Bundesliga to Premier League has been more difficult than expected.“The switch was a revolution for me,” Schuerrle said. “It started pretty well, and I thought that it might be easier than expected. But as time went by and with all of those matches towards the end of the year my body went on strike. There was not a lot left in me at the end of the year.“I did not have the preseason I was accustomed with in Bundesliga because for nearly a month we toured Asia and the United States. And it’s also my first season without a winter break. That has taken a toll on me.”Schuerrle also revealed that he used the spell on the sidelines to put in extra training sessions and added that he has “come out of this phase stronger.” Barbara

Sheva. 5,373
He adds balance to our trio behind the striker. It's always good when there's another player in the team looking to score, other than the striker. His movement is really good, and finishing is much better now. Las7 951
To me when we are facing a club that doesn't put us under pressure Schurrle is massively better option than Willian; he is actually very good in the final third - scoring loads of goals(already 7 in the League which is one less than Eto'o); and provides an avenue for our attacking midfielders due to his movement. MOTM for me today - keep going Schurrle Mohammed Seif

He's always been a good finisher, he's just getting the opportunities to show so now. Mohammed Seif and seanptmiller
DYC. 7,542
He adds balance to our trio behind the striker. It's always good when there's another player in the team looking to score, other than the striker. His movement is really good, and finishing is much better now.Exactly. That's why I supported the buy last summer. It's all about balance and options. He stretches defences, likes to receive passes in space and is a goal-threat. Similar style to Pedro. Unfortunately he's struggled for the most part so he didn't have the impact I hoped he'd have but he is showing flashes of his qualities so that's good.I don't think he'll ever be a top player but I do expect him to be a good player for the club, supporting cast rather than starring role. Very happy for him today, I find him very sympathetic. Sheva. and Barbara
Popular Post! Barbara 15,149 Posted March 22, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted March 22, 2014 Moses is better than him. Has too many weaknesses in his game right now.... Needs to improve a lot.you were saying?*************************************************Mourinho is where he is because he's a very smart man and he knows this guy right here offers something no one else in our squad does. This guy's space awareness is something that few players in the world have. He makes use of space - large or small better than most players I've seen playing and he's always well positioned. I remember praising him for his positioning in the first goal he's scored for us in that Torres assist, you can see in the replay how he stopped his spring took a couple of passes back and waited for the pass.Is he inconsistent? He is, but he's very young and it's his first season with us. Is he somewhat short of technicality? Yes, but I think he will improve a lot even in that aspect. He's a key player for us because of the tactical options he gives to us and we need to give him plenty of minutes so he can continue to develop. Also with all his inconsistency, he's better than Willian now. I'd rather his ups and downs over Willian's average-average. kellzfresh, seanptmiller, DYC. and 2 others
Rubber bullets 1,183
Love this guys productivity. Might not be as fast as someone like William but his goals and assist stats speak for themselves. Barbara
Magic Lamps 11,692
Schürrle balances better with Hazard than Willian does, cos he is more direct and always opts for the most simple option, unlike Willian. who often squaders opportunities due to dwelling too long on the ball. Think the trio of Hazard-Oscar-Schurrle works better than Hazard-Oscar-Willian. Not saying this because Willian hasn't done anything productive in the attacking third in recent times but it offers us something different, a variety of threat if we go with the former rather than the latter trio. Schurrle is a direct player, one that is mainly about movement and is always looking to get in behind oppositions' defence and these attributes complement the likes of Hazard, Oscar who likes to get on the ball - a ball hogger if you like - and create things from there. They create chances, Schurrle finishes them. That way, we won't have to just rely on our STs to score given they blow hot and cold generally. When we go with the Hazard-Oscar-Willian trio, we don't really often get enough penetration. All 3 like to get on the ball and doesn't offer that direct, penetrative runs, option like Schurrle does. Jase 43,479
Schurrle has made 23 league appearances for us this season, starting 10 of them and in those 10 starts, he has scored all of his 7 goals (1 vs Man City, 2 vs Stoke, 3 vs Fulham and 1 vs Arsenal). kellzfresh

Special Juan 28,141
The thing now is that we now have a balance and depth to reach for between players like him and Willian. Willian being red carded last week maybe some what of a blessing.Schurlle can really kick on now.
