ChelseasMessiah 304
Great performance on his birthday tonight, and a little more power on that free kick and he'd have bagged it.
kellzfresh 7,229
Good birthday performance, very direct in attacking defenders. Is it just me or i dont see any signs of the double marking problem hazard has when schurrle plays?
Rmpr 8,977
I gave a lot of stick for us signing him, but I am pleased to say Schurrle has changed my mind!I was wrong, but I am very happy about it. Happy Birthday!!!! The only place to be, Ainsley Harriott, Sheva. and 1 other
Special Juan 28,141
Should not be dropped for Saturday, he offers a lot and much more. If he finds space his first thought is to drive at people, I love that, you cannot mark pace and he has it. Phil Driver 503
I like him he gives us a balance and he is a threat ,for away games especially I think we need him and his work ethic. He was perect for the Newcastle game to do all the donkey work and then bring a Mata/Oscar or Hazard on for twenty minutes at 0-0 to win the game. Fernando 6,585
So happy we bought him and did not let our thought of having too many AM at the time change our mind.
The only place to be 11,313
Actually thought he was a little off last night, but like Oscar he still maintains defensive solidity when firing on all cylinders. Also has a decent free-kick on him, which is less noticeable when he's probably fourth in line for a dig (Luiz, Lamps, Mata...Hazard?). Jack Uzzi 54
Not sure why I am posting this here (although ...) but it is still completely beyond me why Mata is not in the team.
Jase 43,479
While one can't fault his commitment and workrate as well as his usefulness on the counter attacks and offering us width, he really needs to improve his ability ON the ball offensively. More often than not, he always seem to lose the ball whenever he tries to dribble past players etc. Mufassir08 and Stingray

Popular Post! didierforever 7,349 Posted November 7, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted November 7, 2013 he takes players on. he is direct. he is not creative on the ball cos he does not need to be. he has a mind-blowing long shot (watch him play for germany). he does what a winger SHOULD be doing. provides us with width and spread the play nicely. also his workrate and closing down can simply kill the opposition. Absolutely. The 'classic winger' tag suits him more than AM label. Perfect match for our set up. didierforever

CHOULO19 24,332
compare games he starts and games he doesnt start, we create more when he startsIt's not a mystery. His movement on and off the ball, especially his diagonal runs, are a lot less predictable than everyone else and force the defense to leave their positions which creates space. This was best visible against Schalke. Sidzeret and Barbara
