The Mak 4,459
I wasn't that worried about top 4 until I came onto this thread...
Milan 17,959
Spurs will be playing Southampton at WHL before facing us. And after facing us, they'll go to Stoke. So hopefully Stoke will be still alive and will be fighting to survive in the League, just like Saints. bushman 2,043
So hopefully Stoke will be still alive and will be fighting to survive in the League, just like Saints.Personally, I would not depend on it. The Spurs will be well rested, Bale is back then. I doubt they will drop points here.Perhaps, 2 points the tops, I feel.
bushman 2,043
On May 8th Chelsea vs Spurs.Perhaps, here Chelsea will decide their faith.
Bosnian Blue 2,471
Just looking at the fixture list. There is a possibility we might even finish 6th, behind Everton. That would mean no European football next season. I'd sign that right now only if I knew the Russian and his men would learn something from it. Beepu 1,714
weve won 2, now we need to win 5 out of 6 and we are 100% in the top 4, that if arsenal and spurs win their remaining games. They will drop points, we can still make it.
Jase 43,479
Current league standings:3. Chelsea - P34 65 points (GD +33)4. Arsenal - P35 64 points (GD +30)5. Spurs - P34 62 points (GD +17)Remaining league matches:Chelsea - Man United(A), Tottenham(H), Aston Villa(A) and Everton(H)Arsenal - QPR(A), Wigan(H) and Newcastle(A)Spurs - Southampton(H), Chelsea(A), Stoke(A) and Sunderland(H)Two tough games await next. Am slowly cracking up for that. Hope we can get at least 4 points from those 2 games and we certainly can't afford to lose that Spurs game. We just can't. Leif 6,006
Just go all out vs. Tottenham and try win. Then do anything for the wins vs. Villa & Everton, even if it means diving for a penalty or whatever. Do that and we shall be safe.
Mr_President 404
Arsenal should get all 9 points from their remaining games to be honest.. Spurs game for us is a must win.
Marvin123 537
a win against spurs would wrap it up nicely but even a draw wouldnt be too bad
Jase 43,479
Considering that now United can't break our record points tally of 95, you gotta wonder how motivated would they be when we play them next Sunday. But on the other hand, they can play with no pressure and have nothing to lose while we are not in that same situation. Meh.
CHOULO19 24,332
we certainly can't afford to lose that Spurs game. We just can't. We can if we beat united. Really we just need 9 points from the remaining 12.

We just can't.Looking at that just pisses me off, because all I think about is the 3 dropped points to QPR and 2 from Reading....two RELEGATED TEAMS. 70pts, imagine that, we'd be sailing into the CL by now.Not even mentioning games like Southampton, Newcastle, Fulham etc.Time to put up or shut up I guess! Jase 43,479
We can if we beat united. Really we just need 9 points from the remaining 12. True and if we win our next 2 games against United and Spurs, we would already finish in Top 4. 6 points clear of Spurs then with 2 games left and have a way better GD than them(16 goals better), which they are unlikely to make up. To be certain though, we obviously then need 7 points from last 4 games but 1 or 3 of those points must come from the Spurs game!Otherwise, there's no point us picking up 7 points from other 3 games when Spurs could just easily win 4 out of last 4 games. For starters, we would be sitting more comfortably ahead of Arsenal and Spurs had we not pathetically threw away those 2-0 leads against Southampton and Reading! Champions League football is ours to lose.
