Song, Matic, Fabregas are better offensively than Ramires, Matic, Cesc not defensively lol.

No they are not. The only way offensively Song is better than Ramires is because he is able to provide more assists because of his better passing range. Apart from that offesnively, Ramires is much better going forward. He is faster, excellent for counter attacks, scores a few goals and sometimes does the odd amazing run. Ramires is not solid defensively. Song is more solid but just has lapses of concentration.

I think the main improvement in Song over Ramires is that we'll keep possession better with Song. I think that is the big problem with playing with Ramires, especially against good-great teams, thats what we need to address imo. Getting a CM who will provide the protection for Cesc in those sort of games, while contribute to create possession. I dont know if Song is good enough for that role in Chelsea, but thats what we need.

I tend to disagree, Song is not better than Ramires defensively, he is lazy, he's slow in closing down oop's not at all solid. Song is the player who thrives when he's relieved of defensive duties and he is somewhat better than Ramires offensively, he's more powerful, has better passing range, better ball control, dribbling, better through ball, the only thing he lacks is he doesn't score goals. Ramires on the other hand is complete liability on the ball.

By trade, Song is a DM. Ramires is a CM who likes getting forward. We are going to have to agree to disagree but I know for sure I would feel a lot more solid in defence with Matic, Song and Fabregas instead of Ramires in there however the bonus with Ramires is that he is able to be effective on the counter attacks. Do you really think we would have more chance of scoring with Song in our team than Ramires? Of course not for me. Just look at Ramires goals over the years. Barca, City, Everton and many more. Song does not have it in him to do that because that is not his style. Ramires when given freedom to go froward can be a huge bonus.

Would've been great next to Matic and Fabregas. Instead, the only activity for us so far is selling a WC keeper to our rivals, buying kids for Vitesse and buying United's flops to add to the dead weight we apparently don't want to shift. Really bad window so far.

And what does that mean? Nothing. LVG and Brendan Rodgers are not Mourinho, United and Liverpool were nowhere near Chelsea. They are in heavy transition, we are almost the finished article.

Schneiderlin is a player who can be effective as Matic when played in the right system. THAT is what we need in the big games in Europe. He is an excellent purchase.

Schneiderlin played next to a better player in wanyama.....

What makes you think he would fit here so perfectly? The same stats could be used for llalana, lovren, and shaw

Only reason I'm not worried yet is because no big clubs have made any massive signings yet either. None of our rivals have made signings that will propel them ahead of us.

Looks like some big moves may happen this week, though. Cech to Arse and Schneiderlin to United should start the ball rolling.

Meanwhile we have absolutely no clue who we're after except for Falcao. Definitely frustrating after the incredible summer we had last year. :(
