Corinthians v Chelsea

Yeah, the key is to score in the first minutes.

Everything we know about Brazilian football can be thrown away; Corinthians has no flair, skill, speed, etc. Their quality lies on tactical composure, physicality, counter and excellent team play. Scoring early will make them lose that self control and they will need to turn into an attacking team (which we saw they dont know how to do).

If we manage to do it, the game will be in our hands.

True, that'd take Corinthians out of their confort zone. Regardless, the key is that they are used to playing Brazilian sides. They are the anti-brazilian side, similar to what Scolari himself did with Gremio in the 90's.

So, if Chelsea ups the tempo, that might cause problems for Corinthians defending. That's what Benitez said prior to the semi, and I suspect he will ask the players to do the same.

Can't wait for this match!

Even more so after reading that Corinthians supporters were teasing David Luiz for being a Corinthians supporter himself while growing up and cursing at Oscar for coming from the São Paulo youth system while we played at the Yokohama Stadium.

Well, I´m a Corinthians fan. I have to say that I´m loving to see you guys actually appreciating the competition. Our press always says that the europeans don´t give a shit about the Cup. And I´m seeing tht is a bad generalization.
I want to say to you that Corinthians didn´t play their best football in the last game. I warn you : It´s not gonna be easy, you should prepare to lose. Better than the team is the fans and our mistic. The player can not play a good footbal but at least they will give their blood on the field, because if don´t he can´t play in Corinthians.
We are fans that have a team. Not a team with fans.
You will know this sunday. Be prepared.

And good luck for you, I´m looking foward to a great game.

Just get the win and get the first trophy of the season. We have come this far and hopefully should be even sharper with a few more days to prepare. I would pretty much go with as strong a team as possible, though i may start lampard if he is ready to be the captain on the field as he knows how to win finals. Other than that, we have to go at them hard, give our best and if we do that we should have enough.

LET'S BECOME WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!

We are looking forward to play against you. You will know about the almighty Corinthians and the pressure from the fans.

I think this game is going to be very hard, for both teams, so don't be disappointed if you lost this game, seriously.

Also, this green team called Palmeiras is not considered an arch enemies anymore. This team is shrinking more everyday. Next season they will play in the second division, by the way. They don't have a good team to support, so they support everything against us, but it just makes us stronger. :)

I think Palmeiras used the CFC shirt by themselves - certainly no affiliation with them I've ever heard of?

Will be a great game, think we will win it 4-3 :)

Yeah, absolutely not, and probably it is Photoshop. They do it to provoke us. It's really common in our country.

I think the game 3-3. And of course we will win in pk's. B)

Chelsea must be careful with Paolo Guerrero. My fellow countryman is quality and a real goal scorer.

Yeah, 49 league goals in 171 games. I think season in Brazil is about to end. Guerrero has scored an emphatic 6 goals. Another nice fact, Paolo Guerrero has scored more goals in Regionalliga Süd (German 4th division), than he has league goals to his name in 8 years of professional football. Best goalscorer ever.

But my fav story is when, after the game, the players were heading to the changing rooms while refuelling themselves with energydrinks, he was racially abused by a fan. Some might have ignored it, Cantona aimed for a kung-fu kick, Guerrero kept his cool, stopped, assessed his options and threw the bottle into the fans face with phenomenal precision. Some even said his best hit ever :halo: he got a lengthy ban for this but said it was worth it :D

he got a habit of collecting lengthy bans. This is another Guerrero classic. He does his name and the reputation of his recent club all honour.

His sprint over 56m with 31km/h was the fastest sprint of an HSV player in the whole game :D this guy is pure comedy
