Fernando Torres

Love it how people say we ruined him. By 'bulking' him up which caused him to lose his pace. Or for whatever reason people want to give.

His main problems are his hold up play, confidence and finishing. Three key things for a striker. If his loss of pace is to blame for his decline, what's the reason he misses chances then? What's the reason his hold up play is awful? What's the reason why he never looks in control of the ball? The sole reason or blame for his decline lies solely on Torres himself. He's had the full support of the fans from day one, despite what you may read online or wherever he's still well supported. He's had more than his fair share of chances, he's been given time when other players haven't. And for the people who say he's lost some of his pace, he's still relatively fast, hence why sometimes he's been preferred up front away from home in certain games.

Although, it's early days with Costa still, the difference in class between him and Torres is massive.

That would be 10 million pounds per year. Why in the world would they do that?!

Torres is still a major star among Spanish Atletico fans. He would sell plenty of shirts there. At least in the first 3 months or so until they realized how shit he's become. But for the time being, I'm sure it would be profitable for them.

According to the Times, Torres could leave #CFC, after the Stamford Bridge club held talks about a swap deal with Mattia Destro of #ASRoma.

Chelsea's proposal is they would sign Destro, valued at £20m; and allow Torres to leave on loan to #ASRoma for next season.

#ASRoma are interested in signing Fernando Torres if they are able to reach an agreement over his wages of £180,000 per week.

25m plus Torres for Destro is alot of money though. And we would also have to pay his wages while at roma...

Destro is decent, but nothing that special unless Mou sees something in him, then he could turn to be our joker from the bench.

what the fuck 20 million for destro? thats too much.

i would rather take balotelli.

Balotelli + Mourinho = Molotov Cocktail.

Way too volatile a combination. Chelsea just needs a striker who can start 10-15 games and fill in should Costa get hurt without too much of a drop off.
