On 888Sport.com they have odds of 7/5 that Torres will still be at Chelsea come September (Atletico are 3/5). Talk about a win-win situation, bet a lot of money on him staying at Chelsea and if by some miracle he does leave then who the fuck cares about some lost money if the ladyboy is finally gone?

I think people are exaggerating what an atrocity it would be if he stayed. Take his wages out of the equation and he's not a bad squad player. Yes, he can be terrible at times, but he can also excellent when he's up for it and against certain teams. If Lukaku is leaving, I'd honestly wouldn't mind Torres staying because he can offer something different to Costa (and Didier?).

The problem is, he's never up for it.

He plays like 1 good game then goes missing for the next 10 or 15 games

A good squad player is someone that can come in and make a difference on the pitch. Torres is not that player.

Tbf, he was mostly very good at the start of last season. Granted he was mostly crap for the second half of the season, but he can be a valuable player in patches.

I would assume that he has already sold enough shirts to justify his transfer fee and wages? Someone please present the facts..

Let's see..

£50,000,000 fee

£175,000 wages

He has been here for three years and twenty-four weeks. Or 182 weeks altogether (give or take a few days).

182 * £175,000 = £31, 850, 000

£31,850,000 + £50,000,000 = £81,850,000

If all the shirts are bought at full price at the Chelsea megastore, short sleeve with no badges, they'd cost as of right now: £60.85

£81,850,000 / £60.85 = 1,345,110.93

Do you think 1.3 million Torres shirts have been sold?
