The build up play was brilliant chances galore and Nando is still a dud ,I know he has been injured ,but fook me Nando ,he needs to gat his finger out he should have scored at least two . And I still believe he will come good ,fook knows why ,I am desperate for him to do the business and score goals.

Well and truly resorted back to type tonight. Funny thing is it's still better than the tripe he delivered under Carlo, AVB and Rafa, which kind off says it all. 2 Premier League goals in the whole of 2013 isn't an accident or coincidence.

Ba deserves to start on Saturday and probably right up until Eto'o returns.

No excuses today, service was fantastic from everyone behind him. There was that one incident when Frank got it over with an exquisite ball and he just crumbled - and that unbelievable sitter.

His general play wasn't bad but his finishing was an absolute joke.

The Torres conundrum continues.

Agree that Torres was really poor, but Ba wasn't much better. Before someone mentions his assist... he assisted the defender! instead of his teammate; we were just lucky the defender decided, under no pressure whatsoever, to put the ball in the back of his own net.

Despite being a bit over the hill, Eto'o still seems to be the more rounded striker we've got.

You are saying Ba wasn't much better, do you actually watch the match or just your Torres poster?

Would you care to tell me what great play, or plays, Ba did do while he was on? because WHILE I WAS WATCHING THE FUCKING MATCH I certainly did not see it.

Did you also miss the "Torres was really poor" part of my post too?

One Ba didn't miss two clear cut chances

Two his one clear cut chance lead to goal

Three he wasn't disposed off the ball a single time as we were trying to keep a result while Torres was our most disposed player loosing the ball 4 times under little pressure

If I have my ways both would have fucked off out of club by now, maybe Ba stays as a 3rd choice striker

Ba might not be good enough but at least he didn't cost the club 50 million and isn't on 175k p/w wages, I'm sure if he was given as many chances as Torres over 3 years he would have scored more goals.

Whatever dude, Ba was average to me. Already talked about the "assist" to Sunderland defender (nowhere near any Chelsea player).

He did have one clear cut chance and fell to the ground like he always does despite being a big guy; you can argue about the PK (foul/in/out), but a better striker would have remained on his feet and scored. He also had a shot from outside the box that went to row 'z'.

Ba was dispossessed a few times, including one when he was falling and made a horrible back pass that could've led to a counter.

He played fewer minutes, but enough to have made an impact.

Anyway, you seem to like Ba and I am pretty confident he's nowhere near what Chelsea needs. I've said it many times, Torres being poor does not make Demba Ba adequate in any way or form. Chelsea need better strikers to be contenders in Europe.
