Respect the fans

I've been following CFC home and away since the ''glory'' days of 1976. Loved it, despite some awful teams, crap stadiums and rubbish treatment from police and stewards. We I board the train in Sussex with my mates to head to the game, it's as exciting as when I was a teenager.

That said, after the dreadful way that Di Matteo was treated and then to hire Benetiz I'm ashamed and angry at our club. I shall go to the Nordsjaelland game to protest and that will be my last game this season. The owner and his board of muppet yes-men clearly have no regard or respect for the fans. We are the heart and soul that Roman can't buy!

Agree with the sentiment, and there are quite a few going to abandon their season tickets -but the attending fans are becoming less and less relevant, and will continue to do so -unless the arse falls out of TV revenue and sponsorship.

I wil continue to support -no one -Abramovich, the board, players are bigger than the club. Buck and co. are mere custodians, and cunts as well

The owner wants us to succeed. The owner helped us win 3 league titles and a Champions League.

The owner has been trying to secure the stability of our club by trying to find us a new home. The owner is trying to secure the services of possibly the most highly-coveted manager in world football right now.

Yes the fans are the heart of this club, and the true ones will still be there because nothing important has really changed. I went through this when Gullit was sacked, when Mourinho was sacked and now when Di Matteo has been sacked.

This club's history hasn't changed. If you want to take Roman's decision as a personal slight then I hope this little protest makes you feel better. But he's doing it for the right reasons, and I can't be that angry with him for that.

right reasons? give me one right and just reason for RDM's firing. is a spell of 8 matches (2 wins, 3 draws, 3 losses) just enough to sack a champions league winning coach??? i mean i cant get my head around the reason for this drastic step.

I agree with most parts but I think everyone is acting too emotional lately. We can feel angry or happy but when judging anyone we must use our head, not heart.

Wilkins was treated very wrongly. However, we cant claim RDM was treated the same way. We dont know what talks they had before the season, what if Roman said RDM would get the job but would still have to prove himself? Di Matteo would know a bad sequence would cost him the job. That being said, it does not take the fact it was an insane move (specially because he did not get who he wanted), not mistreating though.

The Russian Czar is not trying to win your heart or gain the passion of the fans. He wants to spend money and create a fabulous team to call his. As long as it benefits him and Chelsea, everyone is happy. Once it does not benefit one of the sides, we will tear apart. That time hasnt come yet!

In a strange way, Roman respect the fans more than many owners. He has some authority problems, but it is worth it. He does respect the fans more than everyone is making.

We need more stability and professionalism in the club, but Abramovich will get there. Wait a little bit more...

If we are to be perfectly honest I have not been completely happy with the backroom staff since Ray Wilkins was sacked. We still never really got a reason for that, and I dont even think he has.

I am not as naive to think this is a pub team where everyone has a say, but I have put more than few quid into this, and it doesnt feel good to feel like the club itself doesnt care about that or working class people like us who cared about Chelsea long before it became a toy. Other clubs joke about us not having history, and it seems like our board agrees with them. Who treats legends like this?

Robbie was in over his head, and we all agree with that, but he couldnt even take us to the Club World cup? You couldnt even tell ray the reason for which he was sacked? Come on!

Just because something is a business does not mean it sells its soul.

No Plan B

No defence

Beaten by any decent European Team

Enough? Or should I go on...? That's the reality RA saw... didn't like and decided to change....

1.top of the table 3 weeks ago, 3rd right now with a mega important game to come.

2.no defence - he was playing sans terry for the past 8 games and it showed that we missed him. and please know the stats - only city and whu and (surprisingly) sunderland have conceded lesser goals, with only city and united scoring more.

3.6 games in which we won 2, lost 3 and drew 1 this season were good enough to define RDM's fate? the person who beat barcelona and bayern munich and napoli and benefica.

dont forget that the team is in transition, still finding its feet and the perfect tactic to play with. or do you actually believe the even Roman expected rdm to have a definte playing style with no quirks in less than 4 months?

The Original post echoes most of my feelings ,,Ten years and the owner hasnt addressed the fans once ,,,No interview with our own Chelsea Tv

Even the board rarely speak to us ....I still have my feelings about My club ,,,but I envy happier even if less successful clubs..

Really! You thought we were playing well?

And we conceded because of JTs absence?

When the rot starts, best cut it out, before it takes the whole ship down.

The guy had no Plan B, couldn't rotate to save his life...

Go see how that worked out at WBA...

Fact is RDM was a gamble, as soon as the odds looked shit RA cashed out...

Don't forget the humiliation of us likely going out in a group we should have qualified from in CL...

I'm just reporting what RA saw and didn't like...

Don't shoot the messenger :)

Some people were trying to suggest they want roman out for disrespecting the fans and this is what some one replied

"It's stunning how ungrateful some of our fans

currently are. Without Roman's investment and ownership of the club, it is highly unlikely that any of the fantastic achievements the club has made since 2003 would have happened. Before Roman's intervention, there was a genuine chance that the club could have completely gone under. For those

saying that another buyer or investor would have stepped in to save the day, take a look at clubs like Leeds and Rangers, both of which are extremely well-known and steeped in history. There was no guarantee that a different investor would have appeared and if things hadn't turned out as they are, Chelsea could easily have ceased to exist in its current form.

So aside from saving our beloved club from oblivion, what has Roman ever done for us? If you are prepared to completely disregard the numerous trophies, unbelievable success and genuinely amazing moments, then probably not a lot. What is most exasperating is that you are using Di Matteo's sacking as the primary reason for advocating a change in ownership. Had Roman not spent so much of his own money, Di Matteo wouldn't have even had the chance to win the Champions League.

Although it is easy to see why some people find Roman's management style distasteful, the simple fact remains that his ownership has been an unprecedented success. Compare and contrast our fortunes with Arsenal. Instead of sticking with a proven loser like Wenger, the board have acted decisively and effectively to guarantee a fantastic trophy haul. I just hope Roman stays the course and doesn't let the sickening ingratitude of a small minority of fans dampen his enthusiasm the club.

True fans will never sacrifice their team winning for a middle class team. Realmadrid sacked more managers than us in the last ten years and are not causing riots."

Can understand your feelings but the fact of the matter is, there will always be someone who'll jump to take your seat at a game. The way the club is now we have fans who'll pay just to go see the team play without any real feelings towards what's happening with our manager & owner. So this really doesnt affect roman in anyway. I sat next to a woman at the Norwich game who didn't even know who we were playing & just thought, why you even here?

Kez, I cant tell how fustrating this is. I know your feeling...

The man I bought the tickets for Munich from was not a real CFC fan, he just wanted to make good money. I got so depressed to give money to him, but there was no other way.

That is not Roman`s fault though, he never asked those fans. They come when the team is doing great just to show off. That is one of the prices of success and it explains some the expensive seats lack of passion and voice.

there are enough that travel to every away game ,,,,sing their hearts out ,, sacrifice a bigger proportion of their money on the club

than Roman does .. I think the players respect them but the owner and the suits don't

@zolayes, I am having a really hard time trying to understand why this Abramovich hate has grown so strong in you lately. Care to explain?

PS: It is not a joke of any kind, you know the club way better than I do, I just want you to open my eyes on some issues I might be missing. Thank you!

We lost to West Brom, and got thrashed by a team like Juventus who doesn't have half the talent we have. Juventus literally aren't in our stratosphere as far as footballing prowess and roster go. Yet, they made us look like a bunch of idiots. They outplayed us, and its because RDM doesn't have a clue how to manage a team like this. He'd be great at a more defensive club like Stoke or what not, but clearly he isn't sure of how to get all cylinders firing with this team filled with offensive talent. We barely get decent looks at the goal in some games yet we're a top 5 team talent wise in the world.

Yes, hes a UCL winning coach, but its almost out of pure blind luck. While most of you raved over his tactical genius, many of us saw that it was his decisions that almost cost us the game as well. Putting Bertrand into the final? I remember how after the game, simply because we won, he was praised because of it. Reality is, he played terribly and almost cost us the game due to his poor play.

Roman wants the best, hence hes not easily satisfied. Boycott and complain all you want, some of us are happy we're moving forward.
