Madmax 9,219
Truth be told - I'm starting to like Benitez a little bit more (nothing to do with results).
BlueSanti 290
I tought I am never going to say this but Benitez surprised me in positive way. Starting Luiz at DM position was something I've waited for some quite time and Luiz proved he is ideal for this position.

kellzfresh 7,229
I didn't want to admit this but, Benitez seems to be getting the best out of hazard and torres, experimenting options like oscar and luiz in the midfield(how I so wanted to see that since last season) and maybe with more time, we can benefit properly from this. Laylabelle 9,536
I hope this is it now and the results before were a false start. The draws didnt bother me it was the West Ham loss and the way we collapsed at Half time but if we can get a run going get ourselves in with a chance in Cup Comps and 4th place...The boos cant see lasting to long or being as loud etc, depending on how results go,what he says etc.The 16 minute RDM chant will defintly go on for a while

ashleyng 6
Rafa's tactics looks solid. The forwards are told to press up high meaning the Monterrey defenders and keeper have to punt it forward long ball style; but Chelsea have such tall centrebacks that they win the ball back with ease; David Luiz in midfield along with Mikel adds a lot of height to the side. Happy to see the old Chelsea back. Corinthians players are physically the same as Monterrey. If we have the likes of Drogba and Malouda again we would tear them apart next game, what a pity. Henrique 9,133
I respect RDM, but there is a huge diffrence between Benitez and RDM in terms of management skills.
Changingman_2000 876
It's amazing the thoughts of some on here. the Spanish cunt has (only just) beat a piss poor, off form, low in confidence Sunderland (the Mackems actually could have got a draw this game, we were flapping at times). Then we beat another decidedly average pub team in what looked like nothing more than a pre season friendly.Staggering how shallow some people are. You don't think Robbie could have motivated the team the beat those two?, after he managed win's over Barca, Napoli and Bayern?, really? Some people are easily fooled. Of course he could have, but it's not even the results i particularly am focusing on but the different things we have been doing since he took over. For example, we have been defending better, starting halves better, more direct football - less passing around the box, and looking for the killer pass quicker.Simply i have been impressed/encouraged, and hopefully these can continue. Don't you think you're being just a tad narrow-minded here? You're just blinded by your hatred for Benitez, it seems. This isn't about Robbie. Whether they were 'average pub teams' or not, the team is improving on the pitch and the players' confidence is getting higher. You can only beat the team that is facing you. Django 83
As much of a legend he is, and as privileged as I am to have seen him both as a Chelsea player and the Chelsea manager in person, this thread would benefit greatly from a lot less Di Matteo. As sad as it is/was - move on. Our #16 will always be special, as it was before Rafa and as it will be after. Judge Benitez on his own merits, not that of his predecessor. Corner 456
telly tubby specifically said plastic flags. You added the stupid banner reference I know he did, but there's a lot of talk about 'plastic fans' lately. In my mind, the ones that are the plastic fans are the ones holding up those banners. I haven't been to any of matches recently, but if I had been I would have kept my mouth shut because I care about how that shit affects the players.
