They are the main priorities because we already filled the n10 spot buying Hazard and Oscar. I wont denny you are right pointing those 2 gaps on our squad. I just feel it was more important to secure Hazard and Oscar this season and then buy ST and DM next season, since they are still available.

With our budget, it was either ST+DM or Hazard+Oscar.

Well obviously it isn't is it, see for yourself, RDM is sacked, we haven't won a game this month i don't think. We are heading out of the Champions League, i can only see us being 4th by a few weeks with the games we have to play.

You can't survive with mediocre players like we have, but people hide it on this forum and deny it.

Rafa is the best person available, would be stupid to pass on him and hire Grant for example. People only hate him so much because of his ties with Liverpool and how he kept getting the better of us under Jose.

People don't like because he left a mess behind at Liverpool with his awful buys and did a terrible job at Inter, who quickly got rid of him. Players like Eto'o, Sneijder and Materazzi also complained about him and were happy he left.

FUCK, Mourinho wasnt even the manager and we hadnt even bought anyone. Dont judge what you dont know.

All I was saying is that he brought us international visibility and it made a lot of today`s fan. I would probably not be a fan (and many of us), just because CFC would not have gotten media coverage, so it would be hard to feel a connection.

If I was attracted to Money, Mourinho and Success, why I am not a RM fan?

ffs. when did i question you? when did i say you are a glory hunter? . don't know you don't care either. i am questioning your decision to defend Roman at this time

One word, madness.

I've only read the first 10 pages of this thread and I can say I agree with almost everyone. Shocking decision, didn't expect it to happen this early. Robbie is a Chelsea legend and what he did for the club last season was extraordinary, and he didn't deserve such treatment. Fuck you Roman

No but he often deploys reactive tactics and more often than not, do not take the game to the opposition especially against the lesser sides at home! His only one great season was when Liverpool finished 2nd in the 08/09 season. The rest has pretty much muddled with inconsistency. Additionally, let's not forget his dreadful transfers at Liverpool, turned Inter into mediocre club in the space of 4-5 months after winning the Champions League and has a poor man management skills!

I don't see how you can blame him entirely for what happened at Inter, didn't they also fire their next manager after him? it was more of a problem with the team, the team he had said he needed money to improve.

Also at Chelsea he won't be be main person in charge of transfers, he can say he wants players and Roman + the board will try to make it happen.

I don't know much about his tactics so no comment there, but they seemed to work a lot against Chelsea.

looks like Eddie might actually be staying

Eddie Newton is waiting to find out if he will also be sacked by Chelsea – but so far is still in a job.

Roberto Di Matteo was ditched by the Blues in the early hours of Wednesday morning when Chelsea returned to their Cobham training ground following a 3-0 defeat at Juventus in the Champions League.

Di Matteo was told of the board’s decision at Cobham after the players had already left to go home; but talkSPORT understands Newton has NOT been sacked so far and may yet have a part to play under the next manager.

Assistant manager Newton, who turns 41 next month, was a Di Matteo appointment which of course leaves his future in the balance. But he was not called to the manager’s office when Di Matteo was sacked and is now awaiting further news.

Newton is regarded as ‘Chelsea through and through’ having been born in nearby Hammersmith. He joined the club as a young boy and worked his way through the youth system before earning a professional contract in 1990. He won the hearts of Chelsea supporters by scoring in the 1997 FA Cup Final, alongside Di Matteo.

His partnership with Di Matteo has continued in management; he worked under the Italian at Mk Donsand West Brom as well at Stamford Bridge. Now, however, they have been split apart – and Newton may have some big decisions ahead.

Chelsea expect to make an announcement about their next manager by Thursday – and whoever is appointed will be the ninth manager to work under owner Roman Abramovich in nine years.

Look, I just heard this, coming back from Plsen in Czech...

I'm shocked !!!

BUT none of us know what's happening behind the scenes.

RDM was always a short term appointment, everybody knew it.

The same people slagging the board off are the same people congratulating them in the summer for the NEW signings.

Truth is, we have no idea what was going on behind the scenes - so just stay calm and see what happens.

Knee jerk reactions won't help and neither will insulting each other.

The decision is made, I don't agree with it but its happened, so I move on.

I'm scared of the possible suitors, but again it's CFC so will support them.

Urge you guys to do the same.

I know I'm usually first person moaning on match threads, but seriously try some Czech beer - really calms you down :)

Our squad is just as good as Juve and Shakthar (not better though). Changing the players bought this season would just change the wholes to different areas of the pitches. We should have had a planned system and a decent role to each of our players.

We are playing bad because of our lack of competence.
