For all the people slating Roman and saying he should go. If you would pick RDM over Roman then you are bonkers.

Yes it is surprising that the club have moved so quickly, but things were looking very difficult for Robbie to turn it around. I guess they did not want to let things get any worse like what happened under AVB.

Bottom line is i can accept the regular changes as long as we stay in the hunt for the titles. People say we are made to look a joke, so what, it's not as if keeping the same manager for 10 years will make the media or anyone other than Chelsea fans like us.

The debatable thing with Ancelotti is he let's teams stagnate, he did it with Milan and was doing the same with us. The best time to appoint Carlo is when your team has the average age of about 25-26 but he will always leave you with a massive rebuilding job afterwards.

Based on what? The rebuilding job is the task of the board. They generally decide who to buy and who not to at Chelsea. Ancelotti didn't waste 75M pounds or so on Torres and Luiz. Managers at Chelsea have much less input in decision making that they do on other clubs and THAT is one of the big problems. As for letting teams stagnate? What the hell does that even mean? It means his teams had success and then didn't have success? His teams didn't get better? That's the same with every manager. You could say that Guardiola let his team stagnate. Barcelona got worse last year. They didn't develop. Ancelotti won the CL with Milan in 03 and 07. He won Seria A in 04. That's a pretty nice period of sustained success. And the 25-26 ages? That's nonsense and it's baffling... and I don't know where it comes from. Ancelotti worked wonders with Rui Costa, Maldini, Inzaghi with Rivaldo and all sorts of other older players. He helped develop Kaka into one of the best players in the world. Pato played brilliantly under him when he was very young. He's a very good manager. I'm amazed at some of the criticisms mangers get leveled at them.

I think all these "Roman out" things are crazy though. Seen them all over twitter too. If Roman and the board have come to the conclusion where they think we were starting a bad run and he wanted to stop that a bit earlier then trust him. No doubt Roman isn't helping by constantly forcing managers to play the shit #9 we purchased for 50 million but yeah. In adversity lies opportunities, we've always bounced back and performed better as a team. Roman really just wants whats best for this club, hes poured over a billion of his own money in to this club. If he didn't want to help the club, he wouldn't have originally bought the club or gave managers big budgets to go after the Drogbas, Carvalhos, Essiens, Matas, Hazards, Torres' etc of this world.

Maybe if Mr Villas-Boas had been much much much more persisted with Falcao, Hulk, Moutinho etc he'd still be in the job. Maybe Robbie would if he'd been much much more persisted with Remy, Falcao, etc too. I feel some of the players have let the coach down by playing poorly too. Robbie needed more time but I'm going to hope Roman and the boards decision helps the club going forward from now on this season.

ALRIGHT, ENOUGH WITH THE ROMAN INSULTS!

I know he made some shit moves regarding our coaching staff in the past years, but many of us wouldnt even be fans if it wasnt for him. He has brought us so much...

looks like the Man United league game was a big turning point because until then, we had been so brilliant (just remember the game at Spurs). After that, Clattenburg fucked it up and that was it. So thank you Clattenburg, I hope you will never be refereeing again!

so true, we were totally robbed in that game. i just hope the lads don't lose the team spirit like they did when Ray Wilkins was unfairly sacked, it was all downhill form there. Robbie was respected and i the team will be dampened by this, especially players he signed like Hazard, Oscar etc

Is anyone else literally just spending their day refreshing this forum, Twitter, etc. and waiting for news of our new/interim manager popping up?

I bet i'll waste my day away doing just that to find out it's Steve Holland or Terry as a player-manager (it's not exciting as it sounds).
