illmatic 901
Seeing the discussion about our new captain, and the arguments of each of you, with which I agree in a big part; I see how big will be the hollow that will leave Terry when he leave the team. Is a amazing player and I will miss him as that, but even more as captain and leader. Will be difficult, If not impossible, find some captain like him. Amblève. 4,995
As of right now, Cesar is the only suitable option if we're thinking long-term. He's part of the new generation, he's been here from the beginning of this new generation, he's a starter + one of our best players, he's fighting on the pitch, he has charisma, and judging by the off-pitch pictures he's a well liked member of the team that seems to be able to bond with anyone. Spike 12,049
Captains in football barely do anything, it is more of an honour than anything. A leader is going to lead regardless of the armband. This isn't cricket where the captain actually has an important job.

In football the captain is more of a figurehead for the club as a whole.
Unionjack 7,531
I would be more than happy for 1 of three of our lads to get the armband.Either Dave,Matic or Cescy could all do the job and I would be more than happy to have any of them lead our lads. Pizy 18,944
How long before someone troll-votes Falcao? lolI have a feeling it'll be Fabregas. Won it all, seen it all, senior player, plays in a position where he influences the entire pitch. Kind of a no brainier.
LDN Blue 7,903
Gotta be Eden, surely? You usually give the armband to your best player more often than not, Hazard represents our future and passing of the guard so to speak. It would be a fitting and help Hazard's maturity grow. Viper22 2,418
Cesc would be the best captain but for a long term solution (which I think we should go for, maybe with Cesc VC and Ivan/Cahill 3rd Captain to help them out) for me it's a choice between Azpi, Courtois and Matic. Of those 3 I think the best option is Azpi for the same reasons as Amels outlined above.

Someone that can give players a pat on the head or a kick up the arse to wake up.

Jase 43,479
Terry didn't play in the first half against NY Red Bulls while Fabregas did but the captain armband wasn't given to him. Ivanovic got it instead.Probably doesn't mean much though...
Diceflix 207
I Vote for Cahill1. He's seems to last long in Chelsea (loyal)2. He has achieved all Trophies with Chelsea3. he's been long partnering with JT in the heart of our defense4. Still playing for England5. I consider him as one of England's finest defender
