Apparently not. He should start against Nordksjajdjslan or whatever their name is, in the Champions League game midweek.

Nordsjælland ;) Yeah, it'd be good to see him play, especially considering that I got tickets for the game! Can't wait for that one ;)

I cant believe how overrated Cazorla is becoming! he has been good so far for Arsenal, but nothing special, Mata is younger and already better than Cazorla both are good players but Mata is better.

Exactly. A voice of reason for once. I don't know what it is on this forum but so many users overrate opposition players and underrate our own. Most non-Le Arse fans can see Mata is better. Throw in the fact that he is 4 years younger and there is no way Cazorla is as good as him. He's fortunate he plays in a team that values slick, possession football. It makes him look a bit better than he is.

Anyway, lets not dicuss Mata vs Cazorla on this thread, it's becoming too off topic. I'll try this in the Mata thread.

Haha Cazorla not special, oh dear.

Anyway no need to fear Arsenal. They're very good but they lack firepower, a area in which we are (a bit) superior. I just hope we don't play the 4-2-3-1 system with the usual personel as I feel we'll really struggle in the midfield battle. A 4-3-3 would be the way to go for me as it's a system which suits us a lot more imo.

Also hope Moses will start as width will be key and he's shown he's willing to track back and also knows how to defend.

We'll need someone to hold the ball up front so I Torres will need to perform. Keep it simple for the most and stop dribbling into crowded areas like a headless chicken.

And I don't know what it is but I have a feeling Hazard will score a goal. Anyway bring it on.

So I'm assuming you'd drop Mata and go with something like this:

Mikel

Ramires Oscar

Moses Torres Hazard

Would be an interesting team. Could work really well perhaps. Maybe start Mata in midfield as well and out Arsenal, Arsenal? :Goober:

Yes, I've been wanting to see that set-up for a while (though Ramires at LCMF so he can help out Cole, Oscar on the right as Ivan has Moses so Oscar only plays in the middle).

Hazard's pace, energy, dribbling, his ability to hold the ball and his ability to draw out fouls make him too important to bench. And he has a higher work-rate.

So yeah no Mata in my personal gameplan. A huge decision but I'd bring him on as a super sub.

Don't think he's suited to a CMF role.

Well one day I'd like to see Mata and Oscar in midfield, just to try it. Should be against a weaker side and preferably at home. It could work like a charm and we could end up being brilliant in possession. Mata would play as the most advanced of the 3.

also wary of Arsenal, they finally look solid at the back. Hopefully Gervinho wont find his shooting boots cos he is making himself a lot of chances for himself and should of scored 3 last week. I think Chelsea should start Oscar he is such a threat and might be the key to unlocking the gunners solid defence. I think he could become the best ever Brazilian to play in the premier League, and i dont think he will struggle to adapt like so many other brazilians have. Click here to see how he compares with other Brazilians that have played in England.

this is a crucial game. not just in terms of the league but in terms of chelsea's run in the next month. we are building a nice little cushion at the top of the league but it could all go awry by the end of october. should sort ourselves for the big games this season

We're top by 1 point.

Pretty positive about this, just hope Robbie doesn't set us up too defensively; Arsenal have started well and changed their syle a bit but if they play Mertesacker over Koscielny at the back, there are definite weaknesses to be exploited. Moses is a must afaic.

Are there any prizes for saying who's better than who? First, it's Oscar better than Hazard/Mata and now it's Mata better Cazorla. Give it a rest fellas! None of you are really gonna agree with each other anyway and the more you argue, the more you'll just be going in circles!

The thing is, it's totally fine if they were arguing with reasons, examples and stats, but the discussions seem to be like:

1) A>>>>B

2) Are you retarded? B is much better than A.

1) You are deluded. A is class, B is overrated.

Back on topic, I think this match will be much harder for us because it is the first real test for our players and Arsenal will be full of confidence after their draw with shitty. A win would be vital, though unlikely imho.

That was my point really. Apologies for not making it clear.

So do you think Cazorla has looked 'special' since joining Arsenal? because he hasn't, he has been good nothing more than that. People act as if he is a Ballon D'or contender.

He's not a Ballon D'or contender but neither is Juan Mata so that outright dismissal of Cazorla as someone not worthy of being mentioned in the same vein as Mata is pretty childish.

Anyone who's seen him play for Arsenal so far should be able to see how he's running the game for them, linking up well with Arteta among others, finding clever pockets of space in which to get on the ball and using his intelligence to create chances for their forwards.
