Yeah, and Sterling is worth 50m! And we bought him for 20 how on earth he HARDLY worth a 20 now?

He's hardly worth 20m as he's not played well enough to warrant being worth more than that?

The difference between him and Sterling is that Sterling is 3 years younger, English, and was a major part of Liverpools season last year, whereas Oscar really hasn't offered much in the last 2-3 seasons. If anyone offered us more than 25m I'd snatch their hand off.

Oscar is a key player for brazil, which in itself raises the value.

How can you say oscar really hasn't offered much in the last 2-3 seasons? When he was essentially a starter since day 1...

The fact Juventus bid £12M or whatever for him says everything you need to know about how his Chelsea career has gone in terms of his development.

It says Juventus are a bunch of cheap bastards.

The story is obviously not true. But they could loan him for £12m.

You could use those points for Torres as well. Still doesn't mean he's worth a lot of money. Him simply playing and winning medals doesn't mean anything, if that was the case Mikel would be worth 30m+.

Or they don't want to pay too much for him because he doesn't warrant a hefty price tag... despite being on a long term contract... so tells us something doesn't it.

Mata and Luiz were sold for much more than they were worth. Could you honestly have predicted that we could have sold them for 40m and 50m respectively? Another thing, Mata and Luiz performed well for us (Luiz's performances dropped slightly in the 13/14 season but he had still put his name on the radar), much better than Oscar anyway.

You're putting far too much significance on national team performances. If Costa performed as poorly for us as he does for Spain he would have been a benchwarmer at best. What does Mikel playing for Nigeria have to do with anything?

If Costa played well for Spain, his price tag would of been better. Ask Cuadrado and James Rodriguez about national team performances.... Also, Nigeria is not Spain or Brazil in terms of prestige... Thats the big difference and it was mikel's performance for nigeria that warranted his transfer battle between here and united.....Not his club level performance.

Oscar is a starter on both brazil and chelsea. Played significant amounts of games and contributing significantly in the first half of the season, whileas both KDB and Mata was sold, Salah loaned, and schurrle was sold.. How can anyone even say he's not worth 20m is beyond me.
