Clevemayer 764
I agree with that. Oscar was below expectation for a while and I believe we can all agree on that. My biggest issue with some fans is when the following happens:Player A is a scrapegoat.Player A plays badly, Player B plays badly => Fans: Player A was bloody awful!Player A does alright, player B is invisible => Fans: Player A was awful, the hell was that? And yeah, he has the biggest chance of dropping to the bench since our defense is leaking and we all know Jose doesn't like that. I said it the moment we signed Fabregas that Oscar's position in team is under threat and I still remain under that impression. Sure, they are not on the same position, but generally I find our team much nicely balanced with Ramires playing with Cesc and Matic in a midfield trio. They can defend, they can pass, they can run, they can press, really complete trio I must say.Still to early to judge for me though, I'll give Oscar until January to show what he can do and they say what I generally think. This ain't FIFA after all ...this is pretty much my opinion at this case, too...
Madmax 9,219
this scapegoat excuse always comes up when there is nothing more left to argue about and the "fans" of a ceratin player dont know what to say else. He to mi isn't a scapegoat he has lost his form, he was in scintillaiting form at the beginning of 2013/14 campaign, because he did what was needed that time, play a high energetic game, without the fancy shmancy flashy stuff... he still doesn't do the latter but neither he does the other things. He is technically gifted for sure but no hazard, cesc, sala or mata. He is more like Shürrle. At the moment he is one of the weaker ones and I hope he gets over dis pretty long going period...Well if you look back through my post history, you'll find I'm far from a blind Oscar fan who cries 'scapegoat' if his weaknesses are pointed out. What I didn't like in the Swansea game was that he was being depicted on the match thread as one of the worst players on the pitch when (to my mind) that wasn't true. He was part of a below par front 6 for sure, but no worse than anyone bar Hazard. That is what led me to make the original comment.
Rom2013 446
Oscar is from the players that usually start for us clearly the weakest link. He plays badly in this team for more than 6 months. The last game was not a graet game, that's how he should play every game.

Barbara 15,149
In comparison to oscar he is probably a Maradonna, no disrespect, because Oscars game isn't based at that...LMAO jeronimo, iseah100 and Chelsea Legend 11
Barbara 15,149
I don't get most people who criticize Oscar.Today I thought he was deserving of some criticism, but it's been almost four hours since the match ended and nobody said anything. What did he bring to the table today? He wasn't awful, but José brought him when he needed changes, when someone needed to turn things around and get them going and he contributed with nothing. I had some stream issues at the end of the match, but honestly, I can't even remember Oscar in the pitch except when the camera focused on him when he was introduced in the match. He was a passenger, added nothing and was just a waste of space. I'd rather have kept Willian - who wasn't brilliant, but was there. So it actually surprises me that when he actually doesn't have a good match no word is said here (but when he's decent or even good people nitpick everything about his performance). Maybe he was so invisible today that people forgot he was even there, but then again, the usual suspects never miss anything.Hope if he plays any part against City that he makes much more than he did today, as that equaled to a very round, bold zero... AndersonBLUE 819
I'm one of his biggest critics but constantly bashing after every game is just stupidI don't need to analyze him after every game but every so often to get a better judgement on him Bir_CFC
MrBlueGuy 1,552
Analyses what about Oscar yesterday? He had a poor game but Fabregas and Drogba arguably had even worse games so obviously the tension is on them more than him. This type of performance is what you call a Mikel, didn't do anything extremely bad or anything good worth noticeable aka Cleverley type performances. meetdoscar 335
I don't think bringing him on at the end of the game to play at no. 10 was the wisest idea. He would have served better from the wings if he had to come on as a sub. Its very rare for a team to change no. 10s as an impact sub while chasing a game or trying to win a game, as much as i respect mourinho i thought it was stupid and the result would be the same 10 times over. The starting no. 10(fabregas) had already set the tempo for over an hour how do you expect a new no. 10 to adapt when the players are already in synch with the former(fabregas). That sub disrupted our play but against a better team and he does that sub in the middle of the game we may just loose it.

Daniel1980 1,425
I'm not sure why Jose replaced Ramires with Oscar. Yes, Ramires was nothing special and presented very little threat in attack, but it was a strange substitution. Jose should have brought in Costa and Remy earlier instead. stroey 2,525
Nothing to say about his performance, it was a normal Oscar performance and he just played 25 minutes.
