The Chels 2,502
did we?I wasn't aware. As much as I love those matches before the season starts, I love covering our pre-season in Cobham much more and what you said as well...http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/chelsea-ditch-summer-tour-to-avoid-post-world-cup-burnout-as-rivals-head-to-the-usa-9189625.htmlThis says we're just going to play some one-off games in Europe as opposed to travelling to the US and Asia, which we normally do (and what other rivals are still going to be doing). duo11bluecl 207
Unfortunately for us, it's another summer with not enough rest for this lad.Doesn't matter by then he can rest until November if he wants, we will have Costa scoring all the goals for us with Salah stepping up massively. He won't be severely missed as he would have been.

Salah is a pure winger, and it is too early to say that Salah can even be a regular starter for Chelsea. Oscar is an essential player to Chelsea and the system. jeronimo

Usually when people compare players, they would talk about players in the same position. Salah's competition is Willian, Shcurrle and Hazard. Those are the wingers.Like you said Jose will not drop Oscar. He knows his talent and potential. He will back this kid as much as he can. I think the kid will respond very well too. After all, it is his first season under Mourinho and the new system. Rapkun

Joe Ay 66
With Hazard out, and as the most senior member (in terms of years with Chelsea) in our attacking triumvirate, he needs to step up and show his quality for the next two weeks. We can't afford to drop points with the big City-Pool game this weekend. If results work for us, we could be in the mix right up to the game away to Pool. HD3D 1,038
One media outlet in Spain claims Mourinho is trying to sign Modric from Real Madrid in exchange for Oscar + money.http://www.lasexta.com/programas/jugones/chiringuito/gallardo-mourinho-quiere-cambio-modricoscar_2014041100018.htmlI personally don't believe this one bit. Modric today is arguably Real Madrid's most important player. I doubt RM would accept Hazard + money, let alone Oscar.

You know Madrid, another season without a major trophy and they'll start selling and buying again, as they always do. Not to mention Carlo, he will 100% pack his bags if Real won't win one of La Liga or Champions League.Wait until May. If Barcelona will win the league and hopefully Chelsea will lift the Champions League trophy, then we can start talking business. Carlo will go, those deluded fans will be pissed off (again!), some players will go too and probably they will start searching for players who are worth a fortune (Pogba, Vidal etc).Still a long way to go, but I'd take my chances if these things happen.Matic - Modric

Let's not forget this is the man who turned down Ronaldinho for Beckham because he was "too ugly to market".
duo11bluecl 207
Modric for Oscar alone and we would be ripping them off. Modric is worth £10-15m more than Oscar atm, he is also probably the best CM in the world. We could always sign Gritzemann and move Willian to the middle. lionsden and laura90

Unfortunately. But Chelsea would be so much better with Modric and Griezmann in and Oscar out...To me anyway...
Barbara 15,149
So let me guess... we make this agreement with RM, spend 10-15m more on Modric as he's obviously that amount more valuable than Oscar and then we spend another 40m or so on Reus to replace Oscar and another 15-20m on another super talented young AM (I guess this Gritzemann guys fits the bill) so we have squad depth. That's such a genius idea. Make sure you fax it to someone in the board...(ps. and lol forever at Modric being the best CM in the world. Who said we would need 15-20m for a backup? Just need to sign Reus/Gritzemann to replace Oscar and boom, Oscar+£30-40m for 2 top world class players.
