OneMoSalah 8,886
I think the bigger mistake was discarding Ramires out!Not really Mano Manezes wanted his team to keep the ball, Ramires has a very average technique. His work rate, pace and acceleration is his best attributes. Not his passing, movement, creativity etc.
Kinol 337
Just saw the missed header.... Wasn't that bad, there were better chances blown. Oscar had a great tournament, and should be proud what he has done for his NT. Im sure he can keep up his performances for Chelsea.I agree with you, and im sure we all agree that his heading isnt his best ability and I think he know that himself
FormerRussianSpy 163
The header actually looked pretty tough, he was ahead of the near post and had to head behind the ball to steer it in. He did pretty well to direct it, the cross was just pretty high and Oscar's not really tall. Like someone said earlier, we bought him for his excellence in the midfield not his heading ability. From his history, he shows up in big games (hattrick in the u20 final), so lets hope he has a short memory for fuck ups and that he can succeed here. Bir_CFC 3,455
I heard he's joining the Brazil senior squad for the friendly. He probably won't even be on the bench for the Wigan game. Who schedules a friendly 3 days before season starts, and why call up Oscar, dude just finished a tournament. So stupid. Popular Post! warnie_666 1,081 Posted August 12, 2012 Popular Post! Share Posted August 12, 2012 Talk about overreaction. Going by the posts here I thought Oscar missed a sitter. I just watched the highlights and that was an equally difficult header if not more difficult than Drogba's against Bayern Munich. The player was in the same position as Drogba was against bayern Munich. Infact Drogba had the momentum and the ball was travelling faster than in this case.Common guys we are expecting a 20yr old to pull of a Drogba'esque header in dieing minutes. There is only one guy who could have put that ball in the back of the net. The best header of the ball. we all know who. Give the young lad a break. Melanicus 5,208
With Mata showing his prowess at the central advanced midfield position last season for the Blues - Oscar’s preferred spot - finding the ideal role, position and playing time for him will be a challenge for Di Matteo. The Big Drog 1,110
I'm a bit worried about Oscar. Listening to the pundits on bbc yesterday and itv today they seem to think he won't start. One of the NBC pundits even going as far as to say that he was told that he won't be a starting player this season. If Oscar doesn't start then I completely give up. Exactly the kind of player we need, unbelievable talent who already starts for Brazil. He must be a starter.

Kinol 337
How can we decide if he is going to start or not now?!?!?!?!?! He hasnt even arrived to our club yet!!! When he comes he will defently get a chance and if he preformce better then our other player then he will be a starter, its as easy as that! Joker10 946
I guarantee Oscar would not come to Chelsea if he knew he wouldn't start, he wouldn't risk losing his spot with national team and risk the possibility of missing to play for the home nation at the world cup. Bir_CFC 3,455
I can see it now. Oscar with the 60 yard diagonal into the box, Luiz with a bicycle kick that hits the crossbar, rebounds out to the half way line and Ramires chips the goalie from there! GOLASOOOO!! poojam 10
when will Oscar Luiz and Ramires be back with chelsea? i pray that oscar start's in the frist team and not used as a sub. Oscar start's in his national team and if we do not play him chelsea will kill this kids world cup dreams and his career.! He needs some game time not sub time. harveyb1 0
I really don't think Oscar will be starting even 50% of games - I reckon RDM will just bring him in slowly and next season he'll get more playing time
