Special Juan 28,141
How reliable are the quotes though? We have also seen stuff like this before lost in translation.I'm inclined to wait on these sort of things before pointing fingers. sdrcfc, Barbara and The only place to be
RoyalBlues 4,050
another player not happy with Jose.Seriously, Oscar will not be that stupid to said that right? Especially after Hazard's comments incident.
Mr_President 404
Seriously, Oscar will not be that stupid to said that right? Especially after Hazard's comments incident.Sounds like it was comments made in private to one of his coaches, someone he should be able to trust. IMO it's no more stupid than Mourinho's comments about our strikers/Eto'o's age when he also thought his comments were made in private.Let's look at this for what it is. A young Brazilian flair player, in the comfort of his national team surroundings/with his coach, has disclosed to someone, whom he supposedly trusts, that he prefers a more free role.* Is that so unreasonable? I personally hope next season his role will be more free so we are not relying on our #10 to chase the ball down and make the most tackles in the team. I am hoping his primary role will be to create next season (obviously he will have defensive duties as well).*I am speculating as to what Oscar's preferred role is, but that is a reasonable guess. On a side note, I am really looking forward to see how he does in the WC; it would be massive for him if he could be a key part of a WC winning Brazillian squad, in Brazil. Sir Mikel OBE 4,920
That quote, if true, is kind of a fucked up thing to put out there when Jose petty much entrusted oscar with being the central playmaker during the Mata sagaHopefully it hasnt came to this. Will wait until Rmpr,Babara, or Henrique confirm the statements are actually that before I make a judgement.

But, this Parreira want to destroy Oscar's career at Chelsea or something?I think that is an over reaction. Maybe it's just me, but things sportspeople/managers say to the press seem to get blown way out of proportion and people always think there is some massive drama behind it.I don't think anything will come from this (and I hope it won't). Nike 373
Parreira: “Oscar told us he’s not very happy with his position/role at Chelsea. He opened the topic to us. Here, we play him how he likes.” Here we go.I wouldn't be surprised if he did make those comments. couris and laura90
yuvala 2,167
No need to overreact .. I'm sure it wasn't really like that.So he loves his role at Brazil better, so what ? isn't it reasonable that he would enjoy more playing a free role? who wouldn't ?I think that the "not very happy" part is a twist on his words.. probably just said that he enjoys the free role more. Rom2013 446
Sell him for 40/50M£.I hope some others go too, like David Luiz. And its time to start buying men and not kids.He was really bad in the second half of the season, and not that good in the first. You look at the class of a player like Cole in every aspect, when compaired with our young "stars", and we can see that something is really wrong in this team. Popular Post! The Skipper 20,609 Posted May 13, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted May 13, 2014 The criticisms all stem on Mata being replaced. To be fair, lionsden has from day one not rated Oscar in the number 10 role, regardless of Mata. (except for Torres managing to somehow stay here season after season)We should keep Oscar, he's a good lad with big potential. zolayes

bushman 2,043
Whatever was said cannot be taken seriously. There are plenty of a-holes around who makes up rumours just to hurt players or teams. However, as we have seen Oscar performance has not been up to par for months. If this kid thinks he can collect Chelsea's paychecks & play fuck all, then he is sadly mistaken. Jose will not tolerate that for too long. We will see him perform for Brazil soon. I bet, Jose is watching him closely. We all will too. If he plays as he had during the early part of this season, then he may be unpleasantly surprised to find himself playing for some other team. One never knows with Jose. The problem is Mourinho, not Oscar. .He wants to play and he is uncomfortable with this situation. We talked and he was complaining because Mourinho makes a lot of changes every game" The Skipper

Now even if you think Oscar is on the same level as those players talent wise (which I very much disagree with) why do you think his value should be higher than theirs?. If he's not happy here he's free to seek greener pastures elsewhere and I'm sure all the elite clubs in Europe will be climbing and tripping over themselves for his signature as he's the treasure of European football. Just that.Isco had a buyout clause of 30/35M€, Gotze had a buyout clause of 37M€ clause, Varane was signed from Lens and was a complete stranger.PSG paid 42M€ for Lucas, Man United will pay something like 30M£ for Shaw, Mata for 37M£... there are lots of crazy clubs paying absurd amounts of money in players that are far from being the best ones in the world.Oscar is a very good player with a great potential, but if he is not consistent enough, professional enough, and talks too much there will be lots of teams that will pay an absurd amount of money for him, and there are dozens of players as good as he is.We have a lot of prima-donnas in this club that gave nothing to the club, and did nothing in football. With this kind of behavior this guy (and some others) will have a bad time in here, and in any decent club. lionsden
