He did that all the time last season...Because against PSG he actually played in midfield and looked good. No dropping deep, actually playing deep. Against Barca was just the regular Oscar dropping deep, still looking good though. I don't think he'd be a regular option for the midfield though, especially if it's just a 2 man midfield. He seems to have the power and swerve right, but the accuracy is just a bit off. If he finally manages it, he could score 3-5 FKs in a season, force plenty of corners and some rebounds. I would love that.Barely any FK specialists in the Abramovich era. Frank was always a bit hit and miss. Drogba was excellent for just one year for some strange reason. Positioning, tactical role, FK, support in the middle for others to shine, surprise element in the attack. The question that remains is if he's talented and consistent enough to step up. Hopefully he can keep improving because we need a CM more than anything, and now he is our best choice for CM.I'm not a big fan of him, but I have to admit that his performance this preseason and yesterday is being different than the other seasons.
