YouNameIt 1,511
Yes, that's exactly what I said. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:I don't think Sturridge was good enough, ergo Torres is.I don't like the taste of aniseed ergo I like the works of Dan Brown. #blindinglogicsonIt's funny you say he wasnt good enough for us. He's already good in Liverpool, he's making an impact because he's playing (he is actually getting gametime) and playing in a more natural spot. You think he wasnt good enough for us because you believe in everything you read and dont see further than your nosetip. Las7 951
Right now we have two strikers, and Torres will PLAY in the Europa League, whether you think he is good enough doesn't matter we don't have alternatives in the Europa League and it will cost us another title. BlueJewel 56
He changed the game for Liverpool today, his movement was awesome, and linked up very well with Suarez, he'd have been grabbing all the headlines if he had score to make it two two but then again even the best miss chances, Van Persie missed an arguably better chance in the first half. What a strike force Chelsea would have had, Sturridge, Ba, Lukaku, I get sad everytime I think about it. Las7

JDY 1,290
The funny thing is that he gets criticised for what is a common trait of a centre forward - selfishness. But it only gets highlighted with Sturridge because his finishing is bad. Once he improves on this aspect he will be a very good player. Unpredictability is his strength, not his weakness. Popular Post! Fulham Broadway 17,313 Posted January 13, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted January 13, 2013 Never thought Sturridge was right for Chelsea and said so from the begining. Too hit and miss, greedy, crap first touch -he thought he was a star before he did the hard work. Not his fault though -if anything he is over confident, been told he was going to be the best in England since the age of 13. That said he will probably go on to fulfil expectations now The only place to be, Corner, The Mak and 2 others

Milan 17,957
He scored right but he also missed a very promising chance and fucked up at least one promising counter. However, I am curious to see what kind of partnership he and Suarez will make. Fulham Broadway
ja1 1,166
your love for him blinds you to his faultsI know Sturridge's faults and limitations. But people tend to exaggerate them so much. I don't overrate Sturridge, at least I like to think I don't. Haven't made outlandish statements about his ability, but when people make the stereotypical comment like, "Sturridge is a crap player, poor attitude, doesn't work, never passes/assist and always shooting etc." I find it ridiculous, like people who say Mikel never pass forwards. It is just going with what the (in my opinion, unfair) view on Sturridge when if you actually watch him he's not that had. For instance his passing is actually quite good. Fulham Broadway 17,313
He was frustrating today - yes he scored, but twice rather than passing across the six yard box for a tap in he chose to blast into the side netting. Unpredictability is his strength, not his weakness. He has the same problem as David Luiz, both when on the pitch do a lot of good things but they do have those WTF moments and which is mostly remembered and criticized for. Greatly unfair imo, David Luiz is an excellent defender and Sturridge brings a lot to the team. Another similarity between the two is that both are very proactive and always in the midst of activity, Luiz with his aggressive style and Sturridge always seems to be in good position.Whats the difference? Luiz comes off as very likable person, while Sturridge not so much.Well thats my take on why Sturridge was so much criticized and vilified.
