if we end up in 8th i would not care nor ask for his head!

FFS he won us the cursed trophy! why is been running from us for soo long!

RDM ,, no matter what!

Support the club, not the manager you fool.

We can't hinder the success of the club cos the fans like a manager. That's just stupid.

I don't care that the guy won us the CL. It's a trophy that requires a lot of luck. He got the tactics right in a few games, fair enough, but he is still a huge risk. If he fails at the club he absolutely has to go, we cannot keep him for 2 years and hope it works out just because of what he won.

I have huge doubts about RDM's ability and his results in the PL proved that really. If we had won some of those vital last games we could have finished 3rd. I shall support him, but if he fails I won't get upset that the club sack him.

League form and performance was worrying under RDM last year, people forget games like Wigan where we were total pants (not the only example).

Having said that the squad reshaping should provide better options to RDM, no more Kalouda for the last half hour.

Ps - Cant wait to read what the journo's who called us a "disgrace" for not giving RDM the job write when we are 6th in November.

Why are people expecting him to do bad now. Our results wern't that bad towards the end of the premier league season and in comaprison to the start of the season we were epic. I think too much blame for results falls on the manager and too much of the credit goes on them as well. I am very happy RDM is the manager, he is great with the players and we won the double. We wont be 6th in november because our team has got going again and our signings look promising.

RDM = Club Legend.

GET BEHIND IT!! blue%20scalf.gif

And also i do realise the vast majority of this thread is BS, but still the point is valid. :)

It's amusing when people say that RDM didn't have a good league campaign. Let's look at the games he lost:

Away v Man City 2-1: City have simply more quality, especially at home. They were always the favourites.

Home v Newcastle 2-0: At that point we were conserving energy for the FAC and CL. Concentration was lost. And Cisse had one of those days again.

Away v Liverpool 4-1: We played our reserves after winning them in the FAC final to preserve energy and avoid injuries for the CL final. A meaningless loss we could afford.

Then there are the draws.

Home v Spurs 0-0: Tottenham were considered a better team than us at that time. It also came right after the loss to City and before an important game against Benfica. A point well taken in a hectic schedule against a strong side in the midst of 2 important and difficult games. Had we lost concentration, it could have easily been a loss.

Away v Fulham 1-1: Shit happens. Was well vindicated later on with the thumping of Spurs in the FA semis.

Away v Arsenal 0-0: A game in between the 2 historic Barca games. Reserves were played away to conserve energy, massive balls were shown, a draw well earned.

And that's it.

It wasn't outstanding, but it was satisfactory given the resources we had. It was a stretch anyway with the squad we had to have remarkable campaigns in 2 cup competitions. The league was sacrificed for realistic trophies. Had we gone all in in all 3 competitions, I don't think we'd be boasting the greatest cup double ever and salivating over the biggest talents, one who we've already signed.

No one should be dissapointed with this appointment. RDM was the best option out there.

Yes, his managerial record before he joined Chelsea wasn't excellent but take Pep Guardiola's managerial record before he took over at Barcelona for example.

Robbie's story has started off magnificently with us. He's Chelsea through and through.

Why can't Robbie be our Guardiola?

I don't think the quality was there for him to get a good job done. By mid April we were too far gone, it would have been monumental to get back in the top 4; and unfortunately the nucleus of the squad that won the two finals were filled with players who sadly have lost the consistency from their game.
