Realistically Out chances of Signing Hazard have become slim. In January we had a much better chance. Only way he will come here is if we get top 4, and United isn't interested :/

If v.get 4th, v can easily sign him....belgian revolution at Stamford Bridge! Der are 3 belgians here...obviosly ds wil b his first choice club provided v qualify fr ucl

Chelsea to 'take on Spurs for Eden Hazard transfer'

Chelsea are reportedly lining up a bid for Eden Hazard, a move that will put them in direct competition with Spurs in the summer transfer window.

And he's young, got plenty time for UCL i guess. I mean look at Liverpool's awesome signings, Adam, Henderson, Downing, and they aint in the UCL. You don't need to be in the UCL to get the best players.

Here we go again! The Liverpool comparisons! The obsessive fear about becoming a scouser is too much for a lot of users to handle, it seems. I heard rats don't taste that bad.

If anyone wants to compare us to another club it should be Inter Milan.

The Lille winger is one of the most highly touted youngsters on the market. He has developed into one of Ligue 1 top players, and at only 21 years old, taking Lille back to the top of French football.

Chelsea are rumored to be in direct competition for the player with the very same team they are battling out for fourth place, Spurs.

With a £34 million release clause, Chelsea holds the slight advantage in terms of finances, as Tottenham has never been a big-spending club. But it may come down to which team will qualify for Europe next year. As it stands now, Lille is comfortably placed in the last Champions League spot in France, making it all the more important Chelsea finish fourth or better.

Chelsea could have had £35m Hazard... for nothing

It seems half the richest clubs in Europe are lining up big-money moves for Belgian playmaker Eden Hazard - Chelsea among them. But the Stamford Bridge club had the most sought-after young player in Europe within their grasp four years ago. And let him slide by.

They could have had him for practically nothing too - a fact that isn't going to enhance Roman Abramovich's reputation as an international business tycoon and football thinker...

Four years ago the Lille forward was a practically unknown 17-year-old. But Chelsea scout Guy Hillion knew what he was looking at and recommended that the Blues move to get young Hazard on board.

Hazard just wants to go to a big club. Given the French connection and playing opportunities Arsenal would have been perfect last summer but I am sure Hazard is confident enough to go to any club and would probably prefer Chelsea over Tottenham.

Arsenal Wenger would never pay 35m for Messi, let a lone Hazard. Chelsea can definitely offer more wages than Tottenham as well, which is why I'm optimistic that we could get him if we really want to.

Good job we didn't do. We wouldn't have developed and nurtured him into the player he is now, if we'd have got him when he was 17.
