Oooh the double standards...

When last year FIFA announced their insulting starting eleven, people went nuts. Now that Hazard was nominated, he is automatically in the top 23!

I'm sorry but Hazard is not one of the top 23 players in the world right now.

Is Hazard one of the top 23 YOUNG players in the world? Yes. Can he make it to the top 23 players in the world in the future? Yes. In fact, he can be amongst top 5 best players in the world in the future.

But right now, he is only showing glimpses of his talents and playing well in patches here and there. Hazard's performances and consistency have not justified that claim. If he wants to be regarded as one of the best 20 players in the world at this moment, he needs to show more of his potential/abilities and perform better on the pitch as well as doing so consistently!

I meant on paper. Its a fact. Ballon Dor decides who is thebest footballer on the plant and if Hazard is nomanited than he is in the top 23.

Hopefully this can give him a confidence boost and he starts perfoming like a top-23 player this season aswell. He really needs to work on his consistency,which is the thing I would say that he is missing to really challenge in these kind of rankings.

Are you seriously that passive or perhaps even ignorant to just trust the nomination list? Every year, all these awards throw up a list of players that is in contention to win it but there is always some that doesn't even deserve to be in there. Some are just in there for name sakes or for commercial interest. It's just like how Wenger, every year, seem to make it into the FIFA Coach of the Year shortlist when he hasn't even achieved anything!

This fifa list is ridiculous. Eden is a brilliant player, but sry, what did he do to merit a place in the top 23 players of the world. The only Chelsea players in there should be Mata, Luiz, Cech and maybe Ramires and Cole. Bu especially Mata had the best season of his career and was our most important player in 2013. How come Hazard has toppled him in that list? Also how on earth did Manuel Neuer get there? Weidenfeller outshone him by far this season. The rest is ok this season I guess. IMO Kompany, best defender in the EPL, should be there in place of Andrea Pirlo who is worldclass only once in a while.

If you look at performances, you might just get that because as I said, right now, people are only looking at the obvious big name players. Different story if you are looking at talent.

Unsure if Jose should start him tomorrow, against City he was average. Willian looked very very good against Arsenal as did Mata so I wouldn't be surprised if they both start or at least one of them..

He was our only threat ,the other AM's were non existent ,Hazard and John Terry were the only two who can take anything out of the game ,did not see that performance coming it was gutless.

His only problem is that he nearly gets the ball. How can he perform well when he gets the ball from his teammates about 10 times a game.
