Eden Hazard

We just need to hope he continues to play well for the rest of the season and get us in to top 4, this will be in his head now and might give him a little extra oomph for the remaining games. The thing is ,he always said he would leave at a good time but after recent events, there is never going to be a good time , it's now or never for him, I think the only reason he's still here today is because Real didn't even come for him.

It's got to the point with Hazard now that if he doesn't go he is showing a general lack of ambition, which is a problem in itself.
It would appear that he would be willing to settle for the easy life with us, knowing he could get away with inconsistent performances throughout a season but yet still be first name on the team sheet.   Real fans are unlikely to take to him if he does go, because of his personality. It all feeds in to itself.

If he goes this summer, we’ve still had his best years.

Sad thing about will be that in Real, even if he might not be in his the best years, he will look way better because of better players around him and it might look like those are his best years.

“Why should he leave? I think he can have this here in Chelsea.

"I had many opportunities to leave and I decided to stay to make my own story and win the Champions League here. I think he's got a chance to make his own story.

Yeah know what you mean, but 'Looking like' and reality are two different things. It was bad when Drogs, JT, Lampard went but sky didn't fall in, and the club endures.

Yeah but people are naive if they think we will be a better team. In the end all it matters what version of us is better. It doesnt matter if its Hazard FC or team Chelsea FC, I dont mind us being Hazard FC if we get better results.

Real fans thought their club will be better because they will play as equal team once Ronaldo leaves, but look what happened. Some teams work great as unit, ala Liverpool and some are better being dependant on one key player. We are the later because the rest of our squad simply doesnt have the quality. Maybe Willian, Pedro, Higs,...will put better performances once Hazard isnt here anymore, but that doesnt mean in the slightest that we will actualy win more games.

If we could spend Hazard money on two quality players, thats another thing, because it would be more future prood, but due to ban we wont be able to do it for another year. Though even here more questions arise; if there are true quality players available, can we afford them, do they want to join us and is board even competent enough to pull it off.

In the long term this would be good for the team imo. It will allow us to implement a style. It will hurt in the short term however its better we sort the issue now rather than later. Hazard is 28 so regardless we where going to face the issue again in the next 3 years. His not taken good care of himself like Ronaldo so i doubt he will still be in his prime around 33. Right now you can already see his lost a burst of pace.

In the long term sure. But we need players for the long term, not Willian, Pedro, Higs,...who would play if Hazard left.

Ban is not his fault.  Let him play for Zidane and make his dream come true. Ban or no ban it's much better for us to take 100m then lose him for free even if that means finishing mid table next season. Been there with him also a couple of season ago. Actually I'm excited about our kids next season. CHO, Abraham, Pulisic front three. Why not? With Eden leaving CHO will get number 10 and no way he won't sign new contract.

CHO? Hazard leaving would be kinda suck, yeah, but it's not like it will be the end of the world for us, like how people have made it out to be.

Zinedine Zidane could use his French connection to lure Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid this summer, says club president Florentino Perez, who is also open to signing Neymar.

Well sure we will have Pulisic and CHO, but IMO it would be better if they learned from Hazard. Putting those two and expect they will do wonders might kill them mentaly. Idealy we would need someone like Pepe/Fekir/...to replace Hazard and lead our younger generation.

here is a twist that makes the money make even more sense, AND (unfortunately) opens up Hazard to even more likely leave

Mbappe as CF

he does play there at times

that would free up an extra £100m or so

as RM MIGHT not move for Icardi or Werner or Dybala (or they go for Jovic, who will be far cheaper) and STILL land Mbappe and Eden and (shoot me now) go after Kante with at least £150m offer (and could stretch to much more)
