Branislav Ivanovic believes the fact both Eden Hazard and Diego Costa started last night’s game against Paris Saint-Germain despite carrying injuries emphasises the level of commitment within the squad.

That shows that both have problems with injuries this season..

I just came here to post this. Hazard is just busted. He's dead tired and worn and needs a long vacation. How many games did the guy play in the last three seasons without ever being substitute? Getting kicked down countless times each match btw. The Euro finals will only make it worse. It wouldn't be a bad idea to let him start a couple of games from the bench. If I was Wilmots, I'd take a fresh young guy like Charlie to the Euros just to have a backup that isn't completely worn out. KDB's injury might as well be a blessing in that light.

I swear I have seen so many times players swaping shirts at half time. Not a big deal, it is not like the players have only 1 shirt to use for the game... Are the players, though, so nervous that their favourite shirt wearer will give his shirt to someone else or why such a rush :D

Hazard show no passion in a Chelsea shirt I want players who eat and sleep Chelsea not players who show up when they want too no player greater than Chelsea its time to sell him this summer instead of swapping shirts he can wear the psg shirt full time

You know what would help? Getting actual players from around Chelsea to play for the club in stead of just spending millions of pounds getting everyone else. But hey, I've been tiring everyone for years saying this. :P

Di Maria asks his shirt (shirt swaps at half time happen ALL THE TIME in the CL), stop being so fucking dramatic about it. A lot of these comments would slot right in the comments section of the Daily Mail

So it was Di Maria who asked for the shirt?

He is not saying the player must be a Chelsea fan, but he must show commintment while playing for Chelsea, like Costa.

He has been our best player for 3 consecutive seasons since he joined us 2012, I for one still believe in him. To me it's quite obvious his recently injuries have lowered his confidence to a whole new level. I would beg the club to keep him for another season to see how he performs with fresh legs and the new manager.

I just don't believe a super talented player like him can become completely shit after 3 brilliant seasons, I just don't. And please enough with the mentality and attitude talks, he's always been like this, hasn't changed.

No. Mata was easily your best player, by far, in 2012/13 season.

i think his play has been sooooo bad this season that it doens't even make sense to sell him, how much would we get? on current form he will never go for the 80M he was worth last season.... i think we need to keep him, get conte in and have him bring over some leaders to this team, something we are clearly lacking...

Definitely carrying too much fat, compare his body in 2012 to now

Eden+Hazard+CF+Monterrey+v+Chelsea+FC+FI

Eden+Hazard+Norwich+City+v+Chelsea+Premi

Thats the main reason why he's so much slower and not able to use that burst of acceleration to beat player consistently, really dont know whats going on in his head.

Chelsea pre-season was bad. Diego Costa was the fat man as well well beyond the start of the season. Cesc Fabregas a bit too.

Yes, it is tiresome and yes footballers shouldn't come fat from vacation. Maybe their bodies reacts this way to lack of intesity, because I don't believe that they eat 3 course meal in McDonald every day while on holidays.

Tbf only Diego has recovered from early season form. Both physically and mentality. Hazard and Matic are off the pace. Don't look like physically ready, never looked. So I can assume that preperation plan was wrong. Even Mourinho said that they experimented with short pre-season and believe that players reacted diffrent than they expected. And this is one of the strategic problem.

The other is lack of confidence. You literally has to restart the whole thing and start from zero at this point. And that what new season brings you.

To me, Hazard needs another season. A new fresh start. It's all about confidence guys. He really shows glimpses during the game of what for a talent he is. He knows that everyone compared him to Messi last year, that brings a lot of pressure for a young player. He is still our best player without doubt. Give him some credit and support him. Next season he will shine again, you will see!!

I certainly hope so, if he stays. His talent is undeniable, which is why its frustrating.
