Eden Hazard

Mate i get that 32 million is a lot of money for a player and that you want to see real quality but you have to remember

he's 21 years old at a new club that's going through a transition phase, in a physical league , in a new country not to mention the pressure of that big price tag. Give him some more time. PL is probably the hardest league to adapt to because of the physicality and quick tempo.

True, I agree wholly. But if the adjustment doesn't take place sooner than later than his own personal confidence will take a hit and if he goes down the road of one Spaniard in our squad, then we could have a catastrophe on our hands. Granted there's a 7-year age gap in favour of the Belgian in this example, but I just hope we see an evident progression across the season.

Agree, but I think he needs a rest, looked a yard off pace today.

Agree, personally i think we've been playing him a bit too much.

Especially seeing how his explosivness is 1 of his main strenghts.

Also he really has to defend a lot more then he's used to.

I think that's an aspect which he's really improved on in his short time here but it's draining more energy of him which he normally uses to attack.

Am I the only one that keeps growing a worry? He's not really showing that quality everyone promised he has. Still willing to be patient, but if there was ever a time for some price-tag justification.. Now would be nice!

I actually find his case similar to Mata's last season. He shows some classy touches and creative flair at times but sort of disappears at others and looks to be struggling with the physicality of the league. Mata just looked better because we were really lacking quality in our side last season. I also think his excellent first 2-3 matches made people expect too much of him (just like our great start to the season fooled people into thinking we were title contenders)

Point I'm making is that it's only his first season in the toughest league in the world. Let's hope his second is as good as Mata's second season here.

Hazard isn't that mentally fragile. Also that's like the worst case scenario.

Like Choulo said he's kinda in a similar situation as Mata.

Well, it was a game where Torres scored 2 goals.

Take your pick.

btw, in the past we had Joe Cole, and right now I did not see Hazard doind anything better than the englishmen, but he never got the hype. Hazard is good, but people in this forum make he look like Cristiano Ronaldo.

joe cole had years of hype ,,,from he was 17 till he left us ...your antipathy towards Belgians is becoming obsessive

I must say i am surprised with Hazard with how good he did, i always knew he would turn out good but not in his first season straight away. I thought we would have a lot of problems with him. I always found him as an overrated player even at Lillie, which is why i had low expectations for him right away from the start.

But he's done me proud and put me in my place, only thing i think he should do is instead of being so technical and patient, he should start using his acceleration and start being the more flair type player. He can take players on he has the technique to do it, but he should use it more, especially now we will have more protection because Rafa doesn't insist on playing the Mazacar.

When Hazard just keeps side passing it or passing the ball back, sometimes i would just rather play Moses.

Well, there maybe more protection with Benitez but yesterday when Oscar came, there wasn't much more protection. There wasn't a defensive midfielder. Yesterday I think he tried that but on some occasions the referee wouldn't blow the whistle when the opponent foul him. There was two three times he was gripped, pushed on the shoulders by the arms and he would not get the fouls earlier in the match.

His first half wasn't that bad yersterday and he made of lot of long runs of inside forward but he must lose a lot of energy with the sprints of 30-40 meters he make on counter-attacks. In the first half, I think the must be one of those who ran the more and made the most sprints.

The reality is that, like with most young players, he was hyped beyond his talent level. The transfer fee didn't help either but that's not his problem.

Hazard is a very good player and he will be even in 2-3 years time.

I didn't expect him to come here and be Messi. I think he has done very well but I think that's because my expectations weren't as great as the majority of our supporters.

Go on Redcafe.com (man u forum) and find the Hazard thread. What haters speaking like they know everything about him and the contract he has

The delusional and brain dead people known as 'ManUre fans' know nothing apart from Delusion. Its their best friend. They know how good Hazard is. They still yearn for him and would give up Kagawa in half a heartbeat for Eden (Kagawa has basically entered a black hole).

We've barely even heard about Kagawa, which has shown what a bad decision it was to go to ManUre. He's going down the road of a Flop. They're just utter morons really.

If he can improve his finishing and try to be more direct sometimes, we could have our own Messi :o

if he can get some strength so that he doesnt fall easily on the ball from every small push, get some shot power, and stop being afraid to take on players when he easily can. Then we will have a mini messi

I know I go to their forum sometimes and what I read is often just so wrong and stupid but whatever. About Kagawa though, he is injured, thats why he isn't playing and we don't hear of him. I really rated him (not as much as Hazard) and I think he is really good. However I would choose Hazard over Kagawa every day

Yeah, I agree. Kagawa is an excellent player, but he's been hurt and when healthy was asked to move around to pitch to accommodate the different styles ManU play. (Trying to fit an attacking midfielder into the triangle of strikers is difficult). I would take him in a second. He doesn't have the upside Hazard has though whose ceiling is as high as anyone's.
