Kieran. 6,317
I'm really worried about Hazard. Like I know this is his first season and all, and I'm patient in waiting for that.. But I kind of just hoped for more, ya know?Word. Though I guess we just have to be patient.

But I kind of just hoped for more, ya know? While I don't think he's worse then any other attacking Chelsea player right now, except Mata, I understand your worries. Something or someone is affecting his confidence. He's nowhere near the level he played at Lille atm.I urge you to be patient tho. He's a special player. And still a kid, basically. mediator 2,026
Hazard is out of form since Lampard out of the starting 11 (benched and injured). Our double pivot can't play offensive football. Lampard is really good with Hazard linking up well Stingray
Tomo 21,751
Not surprised me he hasn't fired on all cylinders yet as this is his first season. He hasn't been too bad i just think he has become a victim of his August success. Henrique
manpe 10,861
(I've joined TC long before Hazard signed) Are you sure? You joined on 29th May, 1 day after Hazard announced on his Twitter he's joining us. Officially he signed on 4th June, that's hardly "long before". Lampard is really good with Hazard linking up wellCouldn't agree more, Imagine if we had a proper centre-midfielder. Someone who could play decent attacking balls and actually pick out our attacking trio. Hazard was amazing at the start of the season when Lampard was fit, And like you said. He's dulled down recently. Could be due to numerous reasons. He could be playing well, Just due to his fine start his performances maybe seem average compared to those at the start of the season. He hasn't been too bad i just think he has become a victim of his August success.Even in august he wasnt playing that well. He gave some assists, and got some penalties, but in most part of the game he was way too timid, actually I think he is playing the same football he played since he joined us. Atholy 1,293
Eden needs to step up his game, that's for sure! But don't underestimate the difference between Lille & Chelsea, even for a talented player like him.At Lille he got a 'carte blanche', meaning he could run and go ALL over the pitch asking the ball on any position => distributing the game. With us, he has to stick to his wing most of the time... So he has to change his game a lot!But most off all... do you so how far he needs to fall back to get the ball, almost every time on our own side of the pitch? This is something that strikes me the most.Count with that, that he loses a lot of his energy defending... I don't think we can expect 'Maradona' runs in every single game, passing 4-5 defenders! This is something we need to fix if we want to get the most out of Hazard. AND we clearly need a CM that brings depth in our game to launch Hazard, Oscar and Torres!Mata could do this but he's glued to the sideline most of the time. Maybe in January KDB could be the right man for this job!

Rmpr 8,977
Maybe Hazard needs to play as an AM again rather than a winger. We need movement...The problem is not that he is playing LW, it is he is not changing position with Mata and Oscar frequently. Oscar does not feel comfortable at the sideline (one of the reasons I think Moses should be in our attackin trio and not him), so he barely get out of the middle and Mata is more preocupied with the right side.We need mobility and short passes. We dont have mobility and our short passes always get stuck without penetration because of Torres. Look at CR7, Ozil, Di Maria and Benzema movements, for instance. Torres could use a bit of movement to draw defenders when Eden's on the ball to say give him more space to drive into or whatever. I still feel Eden should play as the #10 rather than as a winger like player. I think Oscar should maybe be rotated with Moses for a spot more often. Both are terrific talents but what Oscar lacks is a really really fast acceleration to take him 2 or 3 yards away from a fullback/wingback so playing him as a winger doesn't really suit him. Moses is also really strong and harder to get off the ball. Moses doesn't use it as well as Oscar though. Both are works in progress though. The only place to be 11,313
Yesterday they said in a football show on national tv that Rafa isn't really a big fan of him? Are we going to see less Eden?Probably because he isn't known for tracking back. Apparently he was one of the players singled out for that against West Brom and Benitez prefers harder workers like Dirk Kuyt.Hopefully Eden will get there. It might just take a little time.
