And you're deluded to think we'd get anyone close to Hulk for less money. You're too into statistics, if you look it like that Modric has no value at all. Do you even watch any of Hulk's or Chelsea's games for that matter? Modric had 40 appearances last season 5 goals 6 assists and yet the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester United are interested in him. I know they're different positions. Hulk had 38 appearances and scored !21! goals, 15 assists. He's ambitious, publicly declared interest in joining us, can't ask for much more.

True though your point is based on the fact that you think he should be playing very well against lesser opposition. Which is basically (though not exactly) the same principle as Rooney vs Sweden etc

Perhaps a more appropriate example would be Mikel hasn't been great in preseason. I still highly rate him
