David Luiz

I'm not talking about the transfer or his abilities or whether he was a good defender or not - I was merely trying to explain that he does have character on the pitch, and that saying he was well liked simply because of what he does on Twitter or Instagram and not because of what he did on the pitch is wrong; which I tried to highlight in those points.

Character or Consistency?

I know which one I would choose. But hey, that's my opinion and I hope you respect that, as I respect yours.

Of course I respect your opinion but it's not like the two are mutually exclusive (you can be consistent and have character) but that wasn't the debate at all here; that's a whole new discussion.

Anyway, I've made my points & you've made yours - we can just leave it there.

This guy is extremely marketable...appearing in every commercial hah. He was realy a big public figure of Chelsea club...we will have to find new one.

However I was thinking...IF brazil wins cup, with Luiz playing big role, Im sure Mou was one who couldnt fit Luiz in team and not Luiz who couldnt upgrade his game. If he can play on top level with brazil (they play similar football to us; counter attacks with lot of defending), I dont see how he couldnt perform here...and Mou didnt manage to make Luiz play best.

I will miss this guy!

BIG HEART and looks a genuine guy...

Definitely sad that I won't see him next season in our shirt. Little annoying part of me (rational?) a little pleased though as no 'brainfarts' will happen and we might not concede silly goals ;)

Missed him for a bit then was reminded of his naive defensive skills. That near-post run from Jelavic was a carbon copy of the one Anichebe made for West Brom. He just switches off at key moments and will ALWAYS give the opposition something.

Then there were a few textbook long-passes that went straight off the pitch where a simple pass would've sufficed. As a bloke his personality might be missed, but as a player he won't be.

Both Brazil CBs are so exposed compared to how much we protect our CBs. Their fullbacks seem to have no leash around them. Oftentimes Silva or Luiz has to cover the flanks leaving their partner alone in the center. <br />

If Gustavo wasn't so diligent in dropping back, they would have conceded a lot more.
