Jcar92 66
I remember both goals quite vividly... if that's the case, it's the first goal... which was not a counter, and there's a lot of credit to give to Ribery - who passed by Ramires and shot - I even read people complaining about Ramires and Cech in that goal. The second goal started in a play that Lukaku didn't press much the guy when they recovered the ball after we cleared it from our box. I don't know what you could possibly be talking about.I rest my case. This is the first time I post in his thread during official competition. I've got it.No, you got me wrong, I'm not talking about the goals that we conceded to them. I'm talkin about the play that David started passing the ball to Hazard.Edit: oh... I writed wrong! lol now i see hahahahahaI must just die lol Barbara

Jase 43,479
Also, Jay, why could he be sent off? I don't think there was anything that would have given the referee to send him off - except a bad call.It was just some sort of a tongue in cheek comment. Not saying he should have been sent off but with some of the rash looking challenges he made, it probably wouldn't be a surprise if the ref has sent it off. This guy is usually hypercritical when Luiz is the subject. Me? Usually hypercritical on Luiz? Since when?!! Barbara
TrippingStep 336
His biggest mystake was to push Gotze towards Ramires. Other wise, Gotze would have walk out of the challenge and not be in Ramires way.

Styles 9,790
I've started reading* Globoesporte because they usually have good interviews with Luiz, Ramires and Oscar and other stuff you won't find in the English/European press. Good interview with Luiz today, he thanks Mourinho for trusting him and putting him in against Bayern at the expense of Terry. Good picture of him and Schweinsteiger chatting too. The story, which has been confirmed by Schweinsteiger, goes that just before Drogba scored the equaliser in the Champions League final, Luiz told Scheweinsteiger "and now we score". Here's the Chelsea page on Globoesporte if you guys are interested (there was a good interview from Oscar on there yesterday too talking about Mourinho/start to the season) - http://globoesporte.globo.com/equipe/futebol/futebol-internacional/futebol-ingles/chelsea.html*By reading I obviously mean using google translate Bir_CFC, Duppy Conqueror, pHaRaOn and 1 other
Henrique 9,133
This interview help us to understand Mourinhos relation with his players:http://globoesporte.globo.com/futebol/futebol-internacional/futebol-ingles/noticia/2013/08/david-luiz-agradece-confianca-de-mourinho-cabeca-premio-por-mim.htmlDavid Luiz spent the last 3 months or so, that he wasnt wanted by Mourinho. Even before the portuguese was officially announced, there were news reporting Mourinho was prepared to sell him. Then Mourinho found a perfect way to show Luiz that he is wanted:-He trusted in my job. I just trained two days with the group, my last game was in Confederations Cup, after that I played 45 minutes against Roma, but with pain and with no rhythm, and today he put a price on his head for me when he started me. The defense was playing really well. I will never forget that.About the penalties he said Mourinho asked his players if they were confident, after that he chose who was going to take.It makes me me think Mourinho does not have the same faith in Mata. I confessed I've only trained two days with the group, my last official match had been the Confed Cup final and I played half a match in a friendly against Roma, but I was in pain and unfit. And today the manager took a risk putting himself in the line of fire when he chose me to start, especially because our defense has been playing very well. Surely I won't ever forget it and I was very happy. During all the match I kept repeating to myself that I had to help the team and give something positive."David Luiz also said his knee still hurts, but he's released to train and play.On Lukaku:"He's a boy and he's just getting started in a big club and in finals. It's hard, but he's a good player I'm sure he'll make Chelsea supporters very happy"Before the shoot-out Mourinho asked Lukaku if he was ready and the Belgian said he was. David Luiz talked about how it worked:"The manager asked one by one who was confident to take the penalty and then he chose. He trusts the players because he trains them every day. I was confident because I have the best job in the world, I have to be confident"also here is Oscar's piecehttp://globoesporte.globo.com/futebol/futebol-internacional/futebol-ingles/noticia/2013/08/oscar-revela-admiracao-mutua-por-mourinho-ele-gosta-muito-de-mim.html"I'm sure me and a lot of Chelsea players will improve and grow a lot under Mourinho. He's a great manager and he likes me and my work [a lot] and I like him as well."They also say he's considered a key-player (essential) to the manager, but it's not clear if Oscar is the one who said that or not.Q&Aabout last year's Super CupWe lost, but I was very happy to make my debut. It was special, I came as a sub during second half, but we didn't win.on whether Bayern is weaker now under Guardiola or not (lol)The season has just started, we can't asses Bayern yet.On what changed on Chelsea since last year's Super CupThe team improved a lot. Most players had just won the Champions League what's no easy feat. There was a stop and we didn't make it out of the group stage. It was sad, but then we won Europa League and we were happy again. We'll definitely improve even more this year.Who are the contenders for UCL?Same as last year: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern and in my opinion Chelsea as well. We are European champions in two years in a row, I'm positive we will win the UCL again. Are you this confident because now Chelsea have Mourinho? He's a great manager. His training sessions are very good and Chelsea is going to grow a lot under him in a lot of aspects. It's hard to say much as he has just started his work with us and we need to see what he'll change in the team, but with me so far so good. He likes me a lot and also likes my work and I like his work too. He will help me grow a lot, just like with other players. Can you understand English or do you speak in Portuguese? While I can't speak much, I understand well. He speaks in English with the group, but most times he speaks Portuguese with me.Do you think you came back to Chelsea as a better player after playing as a playmaker for Brazil NT in Confed's Cup?I've only played three [official] matches since the Confed's Cup. I played well with Brazil and I hope to have a great year with Chelsea and arrive to the World Cup at the top of my game. Those are my goals.Do you feel like the European players respect Brazil NT more now that you won the CC?Brazil NT is going through a renewal and it takes time. I think we've showed to everyone we can win the World Cup. Brazil is a team that can win whatever tournament and other teams respect us, but now they are showing even more respect.People think you're shy, but in the pitch you aren'tFootball is what I like, it's where I feel comfortable. People say I'm shy because of my interviews, but truth is I don't like interviews, so I get quieter, but among friends I'm more easy going. You've said many times you love London, how is life there? My wife and I enjoy the city a lot, sight seeing, getting out for dinner, etc. London is an amazing city, there are a lot of things to do and the fans respect our privacy. How do they react [fans] when they meet you on the street?Sometimes they ask to take a pic, but they always say it can be later (if he's having dinner for example). They're very polite. At the stadium they support the team the whole time, shouting, chanting. Off the pitch they treat you like normal people, unlike in Brazil where there's some sort of celebrity status.
