Roman Abramovich Thread

 Share

Recommended Posts

Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss has just given an interview saying he’s considering buying the club and has spoken directly to Roman.

This dude is nearly 90 years old and is “only” worth about $5B, or about a third of what Abramovich is worth. Sounds like a bad idea. How much could someone that old be truly invested emotionally in a football club? And will someone who isn’t a mega-billionaire afford to spend the money necessary to keep us competitive?

I’d like to hope that Roman, who is easily the most passionate owner in the league and who desperately wanted us to be the very best, would carefully select his successor. Someone who will take care of the club as well as he did.

I think we must stand firm. Roman has  been in the forefront of peace negotiations. He is greatly respected and with his influence in the Kremlin maybe he can bring peace to this disturbing situation.

His actions speak more than words as the western bias media fires cheap shots as he tries to the resolve conflict situation.

We are blessed to have such a generous , humanitarian and the world's best football owner ever

This reeks of hypocrisy and not towards you but in general. Of course it's sad what's happening in Ukraine but let's not pretend like the US didn't attack Irak, Afganistan or even Kosovo, didn't see any mass media propaganda like now to punish them as they doing now with Russia.

You speak very wisely . Unfortunately many have no greater understanding , of past , present or future.

It is easy to follow rhetoric as a sheep to your media but to think beyond is the greatest challenge.

I have RIPPED the US as well for ages, and you left out (amongst others going all the way back to Iran and Operation Ajax in 1953, the coup d'état of the democratically elected Iranian Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh) the most blatant US murder war (not the biggest but the most blatant):

Libya (which I can go on a hell of a rant over, it was outrageous how that went down, it was when I truly started to hate Hillary Clinton)

Plus Syria (where the US basically ended up arming ISIL in their mad rush to scupper Assad, their former uneasy ally)

I am the last person you can EVER accuse of hypocrisy on the issue of empiric wars

Bottom line, 2 wrongs do NOT make a right

Bullshit, 'Mother Russia' (your own words) Putin war crimes apologist.

What's up with that terrorist (documented above) Don Cossack patch on your profile, cleverclogs?

You trying to call ME a sheep is sheer (or should I say shear in this case) lunacy.

Go ahead, m8, justify Russia killing 5 year olds (and younger)

Sergey Ivanov on Twitter: "@UNICEF @unicefssudan Killing East-Ukrainian Children. Dead child is 5 year old. @spdbt @GlobalPost @BarackObama @hrw http://t.co/7k77N6kyyB" / Twitter
