When I watched that match in the shittiest pub and Drogba put away that pen, i just kept on babbleing and jibbering "King Didier, King Didier".

The Club has to think about to give him a very special recognition. If we should move to Battersea naming a stand after him or building a statue would be just about right.

I know tht the right thing to do is to leave on a high. But it certainly feels sad!! Knowing that Didier is on the team, always reassure u tht magic can and will happen especially in big games. However, now with his departure, who are we to depend upon for tht magic when we need one real bad. Thank you monsieur Drogba for all tht u have done for the club. blue%20scalf.gif

I'm nearly crying watching his Chelsea career on sky sports news. It is the correct decision for him to go out with a bang. Thank you for everything Didier & good luck in the future. His last touch for Chelsea was the most important in our history.

Didier Drogba la la la la Didier Drogba la la la la LEGEND!

I said in another post that we will be fine. Other great players have come and gone. He has been rewarded well for largely excellent service - that's the deal. I've supported this club for over 40 years and I know many will barely know the club without Drogba but we will manage. I don't think a stand being named after him is appropriate or any other special recognition. He has the love of the Chelsea fans and he knows that. We can't go retiring numbers or naming stands after every great player we have or have had.

He was unlayable and unstoppable at times but if it's right for him and us to part then so be it - cheers big man, now who's next.

Very true. Personally I don't agree with clubs building statues of living players, let alone ones that are still playing (i'm looking at you Arsenal). He is a legend of the club, we don't need to name things after him for him to be recognised as one.
