Goodbye Didier Drogba

I'm nearly crying watching his Chelsea career on sky sports news. It is the correct decision for him to go out with a bang. Thank you for everything Didier & good luck in the future. His last touch for Chelsea was the most important in our history.

Didier Drogba la la la la Didier Drogba la la la la LEGEND!

I said in another post that we will be fine. Other great players have come and gone. He has been rewarded well for largely excellent service - that's the deal. I've supported this club for over 40 years and I know many will barely know the club without Drogba but we will manage. I don't think a stand being named after him is appropriate or any other special recognition. He has the love of the Chelsea fans and he knows that. We can't go retiring numbers or naming stands after every great player we have or have had.

He was unlayable and unstoppable at times but if it's right for him and us to part then so be it - cheers big man, now who's next.

Very true. Personally I don't agree with clubs building statues of living players, let alone ones that are still playing (i'm looking at you Arsenal). He is a legend of the club, we don't need to name things after him for him to be recognised as one.

Not even the great Zidane could bow out on his own terms. The word legend doesn't even begin to justify the contribution and joy he brought to our football club!

As Martin Tyler said Saturday night he is immortal at Chelsea Football Club.

Farewell Drogba, thanks for all the good times. So sad to see you go, we will always love you and never forget what you have done for this club and for the fans swell. You will always be a Blue at heart, we all know this! Good luck in your future and good luck.

So thankful but also gutted. I'm gonna cry like a baby.
