Term-X 7,891
I do agree with TX that it should be overseas but that probably won't happen since the last few years FIFA decide to be clever and put a date for international friendlies 48 hours after the Community Shield.Would the community shield be 'classed' as a friendly though?, surely not. Do you have source material for that 48 hour rule...
Kezza 1,965
Will this be te first game where goal line technology is introduced?Or will they wait til the EPL, liga, serie a etc start?
Rambo 1,729
Why not think outside the box and have it abroad, sort of like an 'advert' for the Premier League. not too far though, Amsterdam Arena for example.Or the Rogers Centre at Toronto
Term-X 7,891
Does anyone know (from an official source) who will be the home team for this?, according to wiki.. it's us.It would be far better to lift a trophy in the new home shirt (if we win), rather than that god awful 'rumoured' black 3rd strip.. Jase 43,479
Kevin Friend will be officiating this match.http://www.chelseafc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10268~2830512,00.htmlAnd here's a record of our games when being officiated by Kevin Friend.http://www.thechels.co.uk/analysis/referees/?ref=FRIEND,KEVIN
westcountryblue 25
+1 for the Millenium, I guess there is no clash there for the Olympics?Villa Park is a bit of a bogey ground for us. I guess its been done on Geography, in the middle for both sets of fans.
Kez 2,727
We've been given 13000 odd tickets. What a complete joke. Going on sale to season ticket holders. So members probably won't get a look in. http://www.chelseafc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10268~2833959,00.html
Laylabelle 9,536
What?! Surley they dont hold only 26,000?! Sod the coperate fans...real life ones are the ones willing to make the effort to go up there.
DDA 9,941
I'm going up there. Never been to this pony stadium but if it means i can see our new signings in action and spank those cocky mugs I'm more than willing to make the journey there! the Blues 11 19
They should play it at Jerry World aka Cowboy stadium, weather wouldn't be a problem, stadium has a roof, and I could go, I like it.
Ollie 4,400
I wish it was at the Emirates so we could say we've won more trophies at the Emirates than Arsenal have (and i woulda gone). Villa park is a shitty ground for us but it's quite fair considering the location of both teams. I'll just go to Wembley in 2013 when we go back as Champions.I think the Millennium is being used for the Olympics. I went there in 2006 but the journey back was horrible and we lost to Liverpool.... yeah, bad day. At least Shevchenko scored.
Laylabelle 9,536
Makes sense really half wayish between the two etc and thats what the FA cup semi's to a point were.Just daft about ticket allocation really..42,000 and 26,000 between two clubs..know aint the most popular event but still...to have just over half between two clubs is daft

middleoftheshed 388
The tickets say Chelsea v Man City and we got the Holte End so it seems we are the 'home team'.
Ollie 4,400
Hope its not worse, like all-yellow or something.I hope the shorts are yellow just to make it a bit dramatic. That shirt with the white sponsors / logo's looks shit imo. so lets make it look worse yay. They will be black tho, the whole kit will be black with a bit of yellow. Why only 13,000 tickets each? The corporate bunch shouldn't care about a community shield. I've always got tickets easy, even without being a member i got tickets online once. Can understand the FA Cup final but the CS isn't quite as appealing. I'm still pondering whether i should be a member or not. I love Chelsea, probably more than most things in my life but the prices are so steep. I miss going so much tho. Last game i went to was Everton in the FA Cup replay where we lost on pens. Paying £60 - £80 a ticket, the travel (Can get the bus but takes more than an hour) having some drinks, programme, take away after the match.... it's £100 a game, i get £210 a week wages. Really getting priced out of this shit but then again, at least we're successful. Arsenal's are the most expensive tickets in the country, i'd be disgusted if i supported them. Surprised they even sell out. I know you have to be a 'real fan' but £60 to see Chelsea vs WBA is not value for money.
