jmarlow 458 Posted July 1, 2012 Share Posted July 1, 2012 one memory i will always have of Kalou is from the 09/10 season, a few hours before Chelsea played Stoke at the bridge! i was saying to my dad how useless Kalou was, he would normally agree with me, but that day he decided to try to wind me up and say that Kalou was a fantastic player and one of the best in Europe ect, he then went on to say that Kalou would shut me up and score a hattrick against Stoke! So i told him to put his money where his mouth is, I knew he wouldn't back down and i was right as he pulled out £50 and put it on the table! i just started laughing and got my £50 out and the bet was on i thought it was going to be the easiest £50 i ever earned! so we sat down to watch the game and what happened Kalou goes and bangs in a hattrick! It's their dedication, motivation, love for the club and attitude. Salomon always tried his best and over the course of years gave his contribution to our success. More then some, less then others, but he gave it. He left us some nice memories, and some not really nice, but he left his mark. Even though he could be frustrating, I've always said I will wish him and goodbye, good luck and thank him once he departs and bloody hell that's what I'm gonna do.Goodbye.Good luck.And thank you lad.He comes from the Ivory Coast Kalou,KalouHe don't do coke like Adrian Mutu, MutuHe crossed the ball from the leftit landed right on the Riise's headThat's why we love Salomon Kalou!And fuck, he done his part for our CL win this season. Particular members here would be better off following Accrington Stanley, if they want to support mediocre players who 'try hard' and 'do their best'. Kalou became a multi-millionaire at Chelsea, and left with zero development as a footballer.Its seems a waste, we could have got £10m for him. Oh well good luck Kalou.If we had given him a new contract, there would have been no guarantees a club would sign him, especially with his wage demands. capriccioso 2,545 Posted July 1, 2012 Share Posted July 1, 2012 So Term, Torres, Bogarde, Shevchenko, Kezman, Veron, Wright-Phillips etc. can earn millions, regress as footballers and still be held in higher regard than someone who some believe hasn't improved, at the worst? He earned a fraction of what the flops earnt and has outstripped them all comfortably. He's been among our best signings spanning 2006 and 2010. Its not his fault that he only has competition for that title from Ballack, Malouda and Anelka, the fact remains that he has been infinitely better than most of the wank we have signed since summer 2006.
