LAM09 7,056
Looks like he's getting recalled. Will be a good option for a few positions.
Pizy 18,914
I'm seeing that Eddie Howe essentially confirmed it. I actually feel sorry for him and Bournemouth fans. Fernando, Blue-in-me-Veins and kellzfresh
Fernando 6,585
Finally putting that loan army to work. It's situation like this that it makes it worthwhile. As January is very tough to do business. Clubs won't sell as easily like in the summer. Blue Colored Sky
Eidur the Spider 4,515
DELIGHTED he's coming back. I've been hoping he'd get a shot in the squad for the longest time. Pizy 18,914
Ake now & Cristenson in the summer. We may not even need to buy another defender after all. If we can also now get a midfielder this month we'll have all we need for the rest of this season. Not just that but as mentioned he can play in other key positions. I'm all for it just as long Conted uses him and not stuck him in the bench. I really think we should recall Baba Rahman if we won't sign anyone there in January. Ake should be only emergency option at LWB. They aren't bad players but fans always overhype and overrate players from our academy (myself included at times) and yet, nothing good has come to fruition. Clubs always break their loan agreement when they send players back to their parent club if Bournemouth paid the loan fee we wouldn't have the option to recall him back
LondonsFinest 692
Find it surprising people are saying he should make the LCB role his. We'd die on set pieces with him and Azpi. He's taylor made for LWB. Defensive stability, passing, technique, crossing ability, mobile. Ideal choice if we can't buy any top notch LB/LWB. I think they're both good enough to at least be in contention for a place. RLC is the one I think many of our fans overrate and overhype. I have my doubts as to whether he'll ever be good enough for us. Unionjack
Special Juan 28,141
Leave him there, he shouldn't be coming back here..The lad is doing great, he will not start here and his development will stagnate on the bench.

Eidur the Spider 4,515
I think he'll get more game-time than some think. I doubt Conte would bring him back from what has turned out, from a very rocky start, to be a very successful loan spell for him to just rot on the bench indefinitely. He's the perfect 'jack of many trades' that the team could do with, providing cover in the back three, the left wing back slot, hell he can even slot in as a DM. Obviously this could all be thrown back in my face if he does indeed just come back to make up the numbers, I just have a feeling Conte will have more for him. mccg, 11Drogba and Fernando

It's all very doubtful at this point. Amblève.

Is he intelligent tactically to play the LWB role? Does he have the stamina to go up and down the flank all game? It's all very doubtful at this point. If there is any player in our loan army that has an actual 'football brain', it has to be Aké. Let's remember that he is only 21 years old and yet he has already proved his worth at the highest level as a left-back and as a centre-back. He is mature beyond his years, very professional and consistent, reads the game very well and always gives his best. In fact, he reminds me of Azpilicueta in a way – same kind of mentality. In comparison to Azpi, I believe Aké has better technique, is better at short passing and is also a bit quicker whilst Azpi is of course the superior defender out of these two. Nevertheless, whatever Mourinho did to Azpi back in 2014, Conte can do the same to Aké. Under Conte he'll become a warrior, it's only matter of if he is given a proper opportunity in the starting XI. I've always been very convinced of this guy, and not only due of his footballing skills but because of his consistency, attitude and professionalism. I believe Conte will value those characteristics as well. Fernando, jernej93, Barbara and 2 others
