not against the lesser teams, but for an everyday pivot then fine yours could work though i dont see witsel as an out-nd-out DM.

witsel is a very much complete midfielder who can do a number of roles. will be expensive as hell though. reminds me of ballack slightly (miss him so much)

Is he even a playmaker? From what I see, although he's a good passer, he's much more like a robust, slower, more decisive Ramires. He's constantly running backwards and forward in pretty much a straight line, winning the ball and also playing neat passes; but I've never seen him as a player who dictates play.

Who are you referring to Song or Moutinho?

Portugal's leading paper O' jogo claims Chelsea are favourites to land Fc Porto's midfield general Joao Moutinho for £20m. #CFC

O'Jogo? The link below says A' Bola.

Porto midfielder Joao Moutinho has been a transfer target of Chelsea and Tottenham during previous summers and it is now reported that he will be allowed to leave the club.

On many occasions have clubs tried to claw Porto’s prize asset away from their grasp and they will be able to this summer.

According to Portuguese newspaper A Bola, Moutinho has held talks with Porto about his desire to leave the club at the end of the season.

Porto owner Pinta da Costa has rejected numerous bids for Moutinho over the past few years, but recently admitted he may be powerless to let his star player leave at the end of the season.

"It is hard to resist," said Da Costa. "We know that there are clubs with millionaires who have no limitations [in terms of] money, [such] as Chelsea and PSG."

Moutinho is thought to be valued by his club at £20m.

20m would be a steal for Moutinho. His buy out clause is 40m €

Problem is, he is 26 and not getting any better (even though quite good already) and no worldclass. Also he is only 1,71. Constantly downgrading the average height of our squad only results in weakening our defence of crosses, freekicks, corners.

20m is definitely reasonable compared to those crazy prices porto kept giving us.

Porto must despise us for prizing away every major talent they've produced in the last nine years! Because it's us, we can assume another £10m will be stuck on the asking price.
