Hypocrisy.

I believe it to be even more horrible tbh....

It has evolved in a sectarian civil war where different parties are supported by different nations (eg. Russia and the US), rendering it completely clusterfucked for International resolution by a stalemate.

Still, this does not excuse other acts of violence in the world. Why do you say Syria and not the Ukrain for example.

Now You encouraging violence and killing? It's Beyond ridiculous.

What? You think you can invade an country and not have violence? I'm only talking about the heroic resistance to the Israeli invasions and occupation.

Right now, I'm sitting in my home village that was liberated by the resistance with blood. Till less than 20 years ago, this town was occupied by the Israeli army and had the second largest torture center in Lebanon. And the only reason that I can sit here peacefully, and the only reason that the people of my village and thousands of villages in the south don't have their land stolen, homes destroyed at will, women raped by the Israeli army and their agents, the only reason why your army and their agents can't kidnap whoever they want and for whatever reason and detain and torture whoever they want is because of this resistance.

I admit, I might have gone a bit extreme in reply to a very extreme and provocative posts, but I am incredible proud and defensive of this resistance that has won our land, freedom and dignity back. You can't possibly understand what this means unless your country had been occupied by an enemy. We are certainly not afraid of an invasion. After knowing what it means to lose it, we cherish the chance to defend our land.

But it is no secret that I'm hoping to see another Israeli defeat, like the one in 2006, in Lebanon or in Palestine because I believe that, just like the 2006 war, it can change the 'equations' in the region for the better. Why? I've already explained in detail one side of what I think this latest battle is and why it, and the whole agenda, must be stopped in a post which you ignored:

You can't seriously take this last 'battle' separately and completely out of context like this. We both know who 'started' the whole conflict if you go back and who was living peacefully and who brought in people from all over the world to kick them out of their homes and take their places. But let's forget all that for second and look at the living conditions of these people and what drove them to launch these rockets.

The living conditions for the Palestinians resemble so much the stereotypical conditions of oppressed people living without their freedom that at times I feel it's bordering on funny! You know those bad American action movies or that episode of Kim Possible? Where the hero travels to the future and finds that the evil dictator has taken over the world and everyone is being oppressed by his large and powerful army that monitors and controls everything? It's really funny/tragic how much the living conditions of the Palestinians looks like some footage out of those movies.

They live in an open air prison. Their whole area is surrounded by kilometers and kilometers of high prison walls with sniper towers in them:

pic184772.jpg

They live in grossly over-crowded neighborhoods in below poverty levels (Gaza is one of the highest population density in the world with about 5000 people per squared Km). The Israeli government controls everything in their in lives, from the amount of water, gas and fuel they can consume to when they can and can't have electrical power. But even that, they are not allowed to have peacefully with civilian houses being destroyed on regular basis and it's inhabitants made homeless (over 60,000 demolished houses IIRC) to be replaced by more illegal settlements:

buldozed-palestinian-home.jpggholami20101214131305623.jpg

And if that is not enough they are constantly under methodical racist segregation and harassment. They have their number one source of income, olive trees, uprooted regularly by the IDF:

palestine_olivetrees_c.jpg

They can be arrested whenever the army likes and for whatever reason or even without one. They can be detained indefinitely and without trail. When they are trialed, they are prosecuted using military law not the Israeli civilian laws. Forget trials and laws, in some mixed areas, Palestinians are even forced to take different roads!

Jew-Road-and-Arab-Road-Israeli-Apartheid

On the other hand, Israeli settlers get away with abusing and beating Palestinians on a regular basis. Every year, tens of Palestinians are assaulted, shot and even killed by Israeli settlers. They are treated worse than animals and no one does anything about it.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg. The atrocities against Palestinians are countless. And they are only getting worse. Every year they are losing more land, losing more of what's left of their basic rights of living. You see, as much as I hate Zionism, I just have to respect the intelligence of how Zionists go about their business. Because you can't erase the people of a whole nation in a single war, and they know that. But over a hundred years you can slowly take their land, slowly decrease their numbers in the country, slowly take away their rights, slowly take away the support they get from the neighboring nations and the empathy they get from foreigners, very slowly dehumanize them with your propaganda until everyone, including yourself, don't believe they are equal humans anymores. And in another hundred years or two they would probably have succeeded in getting rid of all the Palestinians in the country and would most likely have set their target on further expanding their boundaries. From the Nile to the Euphrates, right?

greater-israel-map-fantasy.jpg

The people of Palestine have two choices and no third: To resist or to simply cease to exist. But, this is not a movie. Unfortunately, the resistance cannot be led by a perfect Platonic hero (or Kim Possible and genetically enhanced rats). It is, and has always been, led by people that far from perfect. But these incredibly corrupt people change and have changed many times, but what your government knows and tries to convince you otherwise, is that the resistance will continue long after Fateh and Hamas as long as there are Palestinians. Because the resistance is an idea and a choice of the people, not only that, it is their only choice.

So, to get back to the current ongoing events, NO, the air strikes on Gaza CANNOT stop the rockets, they simply cannot just like they couldn't in the countless wars and invasions in both Lebanon and Palestine in the past 40-50 years. And your government knows this, but that is not their objective that's just their alibi. Let's put things into perspective a bit (because that always seems to be missing when talking about this conflict):

Just like in the movies, the army enforcing this oppression and these racist norms (can't really call them laws) are ridiculously over-armed with all the state-of-the-art weapons, tanks, warplanes and warships and even nuclear weapons of mass destruction while the resistance has old riffles and weapons which they have themselves developed.Since the start of this last battle, the resistance rockets have caused ZERO Israeli causalities! While the death toll from the Israeli airstrikes has exceeded 100 in less than a week, the vast majority of which are civilians and half of them are women and children. The strikes have been mainly targeted at civilian house with some strikes even aimed at a couple of hospitals, the red crescent (equivalent of red cross), and even the media.

So, again, NO, this attack on Gaza is NOT aimed at stopping the rockets. It's aim is to terrorize the Palestinians a bit more, to destroy a little more Palestinian houses, to kill more Palestinians, to violate a bit more what's left of their rights. This attack is, like every battle before it for the past 70 years, like almost every Zionist action and plan in the past 120 years, it is that tiny little step forward towards a racist Jewish only state in all of the "Promised Land".

THAT is the truth as I see it.

Go ahead, refute the points I raise in this post. I seriously want someone to discuss these points with me. I've based my opinion on a number of facts I stated above, if you believe this is not true, tell me which facts do you believe are wrong, which taken out of context...etc. Debate complete ideas with me.

First of all i wish one day i can go to Lebanon and eat with you Humus in Beirut or south Lebanon (more close to me LOL) and discuss about some things because you seems like intelligent guy even though you don't like my political view. Again i don't know about what defeat you talking about, in fact yesterday there where 3 missiles thrown from Lebanon and the Hezboullah quickly catch those guys and their other rockets. Hezboullah dont want another conflict with israel and its a fact, you have the problems in syria and maybe ISIS. Al-Manar is lying to you about what happening in israel now and in 2006 even Al-Jazeera is more reliable LOL. Yesterday one of our generals said that Gaza could become to the Dahieh if we get in.

And believe me you dont want to see our army in south Lebanon, Beirut and Baal Baeq again because the damage we will leave there will be so big that you will not recoginze you villages. the israeli army is more smarter, more stronger, and more aggressive. And Hezboullah ? they still have their rockets - we have the Iron dome that stand on more then 90% in his activity against the rockets from Gaza.

And take a look on this, Israel on the 11 place in "most powerful militaries in the world" a countrey with 8 citizens (!). In case you still think that our army is "nothing"

Okay. I agree with some but why should Israel release 5283 who have broken the law? Some of them are very dangerous and Israel in the past have released a lot. Elaborate on the UN resolutions Israel has broken. Tell me why they had broken it and then elaborate on the ones the Palestines had broken... You probably don't know too much about that.

These resolutions voted for by members have not been adhered to, unprecedented that a nation ignores UN resolutions like this.

If, and its a big if Israel wants peace and not just expansionism , it needs to be conciliatary in its foreign policies. Not create a climate of paranoia within its citizens, and then steps towards peace could be made.

To my mind there are two massive obstacles to peace and a way forward -one is the Israeli govt and the US lobbyists not wanting it -(its too fruitful for the lobbyists, and for the govt it can gain popularity by creating a climate of fear, and makes Israeli citizens easier to control)

The second is direct provocation. Israeli soldiers have cited their aim is to provoke a reaction, and the 262 illegal Israeli settlements and outposts on Palestinian land are a direct ongoing provocation.

How would Israelis feel if Palestinians had 262 illegal settlements on Israeli land ??

I just want to put my 2 cents in here. I believe both parties have contributed to this current situation. In the ideal situation there should be one secular state shared by both Jews and Palestinians with equal rights and respect for each other. However as long as strong right wing conservatives exist and are given power on both sides this will never happen and it may even be too late.

Do I see peace for this region within my lifetime? I really hope so but the older I get and the more I learn I am confronted by the selfish, destructive and crazy nature of mankind which makes me regress on this hope. Believe it or not everything is and has been manipulated by the 'elite' of this modern world who have unlimited control over the world and its citizens.

  76. Resolution 2004: "...‘urges’ the Government of Israel to expedite the withdrawal of its army from northern Ghajar without further delay"
  77. Resolution 2064: "...‘urges’ the Government of Israel to expedite the withdrawal of its army from northern Ghajar without further delay"

Correct.

1999-2000 Israel offers 95% of the West Bank to the Palestines. They refuse. Why? I really don't know.

Hey guys, you have told me it's the biggest lie ever that the Quran encourages to fight everyone who isn't a Muslim.

Can anyone explain me this line?:Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture - [fight] until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled.
