From Wikipedia on Dieudonne: "He has been condemned in court several times for antisemitic remarks. Since 1997, Dieudonné has regularly stood in parliamentary and European Union elections as a candidate at the head of fringe or splinter parties, and has tried and failed to run in two French presidential elections (2002 and 2007). He openly supported Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's views on Israel and the Jewish people. He has made "heil" like signs on television as part of a sketch that made controversy.

Anelka is supposdely friends with this guy, and he has a picture with him doing the salute thing.

any of you think it's ok that he made this celebration?

@Christo191 - I didn't say Nazi, I said anti-semetic and I did not say he actually was anti-semetic, just that his salute on the celebration was (regardless of what he may have thought it meant)

As far as I understand, the one who invented the gesture intends it as an anti-Zionism/anti-establishment gesture. What politics turns it into Is another story.

On any account, political gestures do not belong on a football pitch and he will deservedly get a fine.

Most people are getting tired of these constant jewish accusations & snivels.

Every fucking time, somebody raise their hand, it´s Nazi salute,anti-Semitic or anti-Zionist, all because somebody said so.

Why are people being punished for something that " jewish lobby " interpret according to their choice ?

Deservedly. It's like Wilshere giving City fans the finger and saying he didn't mean anything by that.

I wouldn't be surprised if he is suspended as well.

Stupid Jack enticed violence, then. What exactly Anelka meant by it, nobody knows. Perhaps, he saluted his dead friend, then ?

Typical bourgeoisie lefties trying to play it down. If it was anything perceived to be right wing or racist you'd all be in tears of self-righteousness demanding a lifetime ban. Footballers shouldn't be messing around with political gestures of any kind on the pitch.

Could say that but I'm sure he knows that gesture is anti- Semitic because of all the controversy with the French comedian.

He knows his friend is dead, he salutes him, because he used it...did he mean any harm, did he entice riots, what exactly wrong did he do ?

Shall I or you ask Jewish lobby what to read, what to show, whom to solute...on & on.

Personally, I sick & tired of these Jewish snivelings. Where is the freedom of expression, then ? Do I harm any Jew by watching Hitler movies too ?

Obvious political gesture. No point in arguing about that. He might not have meant any harm but that is not the right way to salute his dead friend.

Lets wait till what Anelka has to say about that.

Exactly. This shit goes too far with everything - racism, homophobia, feminism, religion, anti-semitism and so on. Every asshole can find something provocative in one's actions and sue him nowadays.

This is what Anelka has to say about this.

He already said, no harm was meant.

A political gesture ? Not in my book.

How many people are displaced in Palestine, daily ?

Are we doing anything about it ?

I'll say it again - it doesn't matter what he meant, if the act is recognized as an anti-semitic one then its wrong that he did it no matter what he actually meant.

You do not harm any one by watching Hitler movies because you keep it to yourself, and what exactly is "hitler movies" anyway?

I truly believe Anelka did not mean any harm and that was just a gesture to his dead friend.
