What an awful final, emotional, tense, hard-fought, yes, but the level of football was as low as the 2007 final. Never seen so many errors in such a big match. If that should be advertising for German football, then good night. A more clinical side with a world-class striker would have had a field day today. Dortmunds defense was abysmal. Robben fucked every player of theri defense players.

If this would not have been a final, ribery, Dante and Lewa would have been sent off that's for sure. Once again a big match showed how average Schweinsteiger is.

Wow and wow. If i were german, i will be cery happy with the display. it is extremely rare to have final that enteraining. I am pretty sure there are going to be plenty of new fans of german football

Congrats to Bayern. Whats good about this match is that now we won't be linked with Hummels again. The guy is overrated, he doesn't have the mentality to play in cup finals. He would be 5th choice CB if he ever comes to Chelsea. And to think a lot of us want him to replace Gary Cahill.

lol I'd take Hummels over Cahill every day of the week, the difference isn't anywhere close to comparable. The problem wasn't with Hummels, but more due to the fact that they were playing such a high line without quick enough defenders to do that (sound familiar?).

Hummels has seriously gone downhill you wouldn't even believe it. Last season he was such a good defender, this season it's mistake after mistake. He was hopeless today, he was also awful in the Madrid games, he's constantly making mistakes and conceding penalties, so believe me even if Hummels is better than Cahill, it's not by much.

I feel really sorry for Dortmund, especially Kloppo. Weidenfeller made some magnificent saves and for a moment I thought they are going the Chelsea road, but the defence let them down especially in the last quarter of the match as it was torn apart by the Munich attack. I honestly believe Dante should have received a second yellow for the yakuza kick on Reus in the penalty area and that would've definitely changed the course of the match, but anyway it is what it is. Roll on European Super Cup.

It's not even comparable. One game's a league match and the other one's probably the biggest game in the career of a player.

How does the magintude of the game matter? Subotic did that to Robben for no apparent reason and he got served today. Karma is a bitch.

It's not as if Bayern players were doing that to every Dortmund player. Subotic deserved it.

Shame it didn't end well for Dortmund last night. They have been brilliant throughout the Champions League this season and would arguably be a deserving winner. Anyway, congrats to Bayern for winning the competition. Been sensational all season.

Everything was okay, only the result is so shit.

Jurgen Klopp is a legend. Everything about him is brilliant, from his words to his celebrations to his youthful exuberance character. He's a great quote machine and will be someone the English media would like if he were to come to England one day.

His interview is always funny :D

Bayern has become the best team in europe but

Dortmund has probably become the most likeable team with their passionate supporter, wonderful footbal and Klopp

Not sure if Dortmund vs Bayern Munich or Benfica vs Chelsea.

Chelsea scored the first goal of the game in the 60th minute, Bayern scored the first goal of the game in the 60th minute.

Benfica equalised from a penalty in the 68th minute,

Dortmund equalised from a penalty in the 68th minute.

Torres trolled, scored.

Robben trolled, scored.

Both games ended 2-1 and both games saw two late winners!

Bitter Catalans!!

http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/catalan-press-in-vulgar-chelsea-mockery-showing-little-class-and-

As the European football media roundly get together to rightly praise the finalists from last night's Champions League final at Wembley, and applaud the success of German football, like they once did with Spain, the Catalan press couldn't help get some bitterness off their chest.

They are still angry that Chelsea had the nerve to knock them out of the competition last year and go on to win the title, so amidst their praise of the Germans and countless (and you genuinely would have trouble keeping count of them) Neymar articles, Mundo Deportivo reserve a quarter of page four to ask 'Who remembers Chelsea?'.

They say the win was hollow and provided no legacy for the club and that the team will not be remembered like others have in the past. Mundo claim that Chelsea's win last year was based on a desperation not to lose and that this tarnished any 'victory' which they celebrated. They almost mock the situation at Chelsea since, saying the club have been taught a lesson.

The Catalan press love having a go at English clubs, it's usually Arsenal getting their anger, but Chelsea have been a target a fair few times too. It stems backs from the high profile matches between the two sides and in Barcelona they took it to new levels after being knocked out of the Champions League by Chelsea last year.

If you cant't recall just how bitter the Catalan press were, here's some extracts from our article of April 2012:

'The Catalan press aren't too pleased with tonight's events and weren't gracious in defeat. We all know Barcelona's qualities but tonight but they couldn't find a way past Chelsea when they really needed to.

Sport.es said:

Unjust, cruel, horrible... Any adjective is not enough to describe the incredible Barca elimination at the hands of Chelsea. Few times a team had all the qualities to move to a Champions League final and also Guardiola. And rarely a rival, with so little, won the prize.

Meow.

That isn't all, there's some more insults for Chelsea:

It is difficult to explain how the club could throw away a tie in which it was infinitely better than its rival. The Chelsea at Camp Nou was like that of the first leg at Stamford Bridge. A team stingy, cowardly, vulgar. Unworthy of a competition as big as this. Their ultra-conservative tactic led them to defend tooth and nail with all players in the area of Cech. It's amazing how, with so little, they were able to score three goals in 180 minutes.

Quite an astonishing attack on the English team who presumably should have played the game Barcelona wanted them to and provided space for Barcelona to enter the area.'

It's not all bad for Chelsea this year, they won the Europa League, but that's only a worthy competition when won by a Spanish team it seems.
